Dreams

Filled with Abyss to the cap of my Skull,

Eyelids closed to keep in the Shadows seeking salvation

Only released in slack jawed salivation.

When I open my Eyes to Dream.

I Dream in the Light, it's safer to me

That is because it's all too bright to see,

So I Imagine, I see,

I see that dark is washed away in a sea of bright

But I ask myself then,

Where is room for me?

I am Dark and sometimes at Night

The Nightmare is all around me

So I open my eyes, and Shadows Slither,

Pouring out Dark and Dream

And all I hear are screams and joy

Because all that I am is a shadow of a boy.

And the only friend I have is the inconstant moon,

For which the swathes of Shadow slide slither and swoon.

For which I forever dream

For I opened my eyes soon, too soon.
