if you keep yourself in you
how can I reach you
if you won't trust my hand
how can I look at you
if you always keep your eyes shut
how can I listen to you
if you keep your lips sealed
how can I touch you
if you are repugnant of my touch
how can you hear me
if you close your ears
how can you say you understand
if you can't feel anything
how can you tell me you care
if you keep your feelings away from me
and
how can I write well night after night
if my heart don't feel alright
the more you are uneasy so tight
the more it hurts my tomorrow's fright
