Still here(Nick x Ellis)

How long had it been since he was last here? It only seemed since yesterday, but he knew he was sadly mistaken. In this new grin world, his only happiness was stolen. Nick longed to hear the voice of Ellis, even if it meant tolerating one of the many stories about his friend Keith... He wanted that messy hair, horrible fashion sense, and that huge grin he received in the morning. E wanted Ellis back, desperately. Coach and Rochelle tried to fix him, tried to cheer him up, to no avail... Nick killed the only thing he ever had loved and The self guilt and doubt were immeasurable. Why wasn't he brave enough to stick by and save him? No the ex-con was a coward and this was his price. Ellis was the hero, saving Nick and getting a release to a more peaceful place. Nick was still not able to function despite this. Then again, maybe Ellis wasn't gone entirely. The excitement from Coach, Rochelle's charming grins, and all the little goods that came from this living hell. And maybe, if Nick tried, he could still see the mechanic standing beside him, cheering him on.
