Chapter 8

This is what Academia looks like

Caitlyn's POV

I woke up in a wooden hut with bones and skulls for designs and decoration. It's creepy but it does beat sleeping in a cold tree. The bed was made in Bamboo sticks but the mattress was made with wool of sheeps. The sun was so bright that it made my eyes go red but the wind just swept my troubles away. As i arose in my bed, two pair of clothes just laying on top of a wooden table. I took off my suit and put the two peach dress; from a badass resistant solider to Pocahontas. i straighten my hair and I went out from the nut and the first i did is to find Jamie. I heard he is in the other hut across the field.

I can't believe and Bryce was here. I thought he's just a working student inside Fiore but i was wrong; he's here because one of his jobs is to teach English to the Neribians. I thought that you can only go to Academia if you pay the tuition fee or take a scholarship but i was proven wrong by Bryce because he can manage to pay his tuition by teaching English to these people. He said that every Friday, he uses his teleporter to teleport himself on this island. I remembered when he persuaded the Neribians to let us stay.

While walking, a group of children just circle around me, they are chanting that i must play with them. I gave them the 'not now' hand sign and continue to walk. I looked around and see the people are already busy doing minimal things like washing clothes, making lunch and sweeping their houses. Bryce told us that these people are always like this; their everyday actions are being offered to their Deity. As i reach Jamie's hut, Bryce suddenly appeared behind me.

"Hey" he thought he's going to surprise me

"Nice try but surprises are my forte" he laughed "So what's your job today?"

"Oh you know same old" Suddenly Jamie appeared behind me

"So what's going on?" giving me the look.  Really Jamie, him?

"Nothing, just human conversation" The two guy smiled. I looked at the sun which is so bright so i turned my look to Jamie which is looking at Bryce intensively; i just hit him softly in his chest with my elbow and Bryce suddenly let out an exhale.

"Hey if you want to relax, why you two can stay here for a while. After all, you still have three days on this island so just try to be calm and let the Neribians take care of you."

We smiled

"Thanks but we need to go, we need to get to the center of---"

"Centur?" A tribe person appeared and suddenly cut my sentence then he suddenly start to talk to Bryce in their mother tongue. Bryce just nod and look at us.

"What is it?" i asked him

"This people have a better way to reach the Silver ruins or the center of the island"

"How?"

"He just gave me a grin

Paolo's POV

 I woke up in a nest, it's weird because I didn't remembered making a nest. I arose from it and looked at my surrounding, the sky was very visible and the clouds is very huge up here. WAIT...UP HERE?! I realized that I'm in a tree and I'm in a giant bird's nest. I quickly stood up and slide down the tree. After getting down, I quickly thought about the Physical test, we only have three days until one of us will reach the center.

I brushed off that matter for now and face the current problem: Where's Francis? I started to walk the path of fallen leaves and try to find foot prints of him. I stopped after I saw the boar that we rode all night; it was sleeping and I noticed that the saddle was still on  so I thought that the boar was still tamed. I grabbed the cloak rope and I rode the boar. The boar woke up and I simply just tugged the rope and head out.
