I ran into my restroom, adjacent from my room, emptying the contents in my stomach. I love chicken tacos and just the smell of it made me sick. “Are you okay?” I heard my dad yell from downstairs.

“Yeah,” I answered before releasing the rest of the contents in my stomach. I laid my head on the cold tile floor hoping that this was just a bug and will soon pass.

“What’s the matter? You love my chicken tacos,” My mom questioned suspiciously while handing me a wet towel. The sound of her voice made me jump. I didn’t even realize when she entered my bathroom.

“Must have been something I ate for lunch or a bug,” I retorted, not making eye contact. It wasn't a complete lie because I wasn't exactly sure.

She looked at me skeptically before feeling my head. “You have a fever. Go lay down and I’ll bring you some chicken noodle soup. Is there anything else that’s wrong?” She asked me sweetly. She had a knowing look in her eyes and I was scared for her and my dad to find out. Why do mothers have those gut feelings. They both have worked their asses off to take care of me and what do I do to repay them? I do something stupid like maybe getting pregnant. I knew that party was a stupid mistake.

“I feel like I’m cramping but I’m not on my period, I’m clumsy and dizzy. I feel like shit to be honest, momma.” I turned over into the fetal position.

“I’ll run to the store and get you some medicine. I’ll let that pass because you don’t feel good but watch your mouth.” She stated seriously, walking away.

I pulled out my phone, googling how early pregnancy symptoms can appear and what are some early signs. Some woman experience pregnancy symptoms as early as a week into their pregnancy. I read off of some website I didn't care to check the name of. Headaches? Feeling bloated? Lower backaches? Higher body temperature? Tired? Clumsy? Dizzy? Puking? My answer to all of them was yes. Almost all the signs of early pregnancy I had. I threw my head into my backboard, wincing slightly. I deleted the history on my phone and decided to call my best friend, Jessica.

“Hey girl,” She giggled in the phone.

“This is your fault!”

“What's my fault? What did I do?” She asked, completely confused. The memories of two weeks ago popped in my head.

Oh best friend,” Jessica sang as she walked in my house, using her own key. “I have plans for us, tonight.” Why did I give her my house key again? Oh yeah, cause she is my annoying best friend.

If it involves leaving my bed, I'll pass.” I retorted.

You don't even know what it is, Jennifer.”

Ewww, don't call me that. Do I have to get out of my bed?” I questioned.

Okay, Jenny. Yes, but–”

No butts. I just want to relax these last few weeks before we start high school.” I replied.

Please, please, please come to Mike’s party. Come on, they are going to have free drinks, cute boys, and loud music. It’s going to be fun. Please, for me? It‘s the last party of the summer, for crying out loud! Besides, you'll have four weeks to relax before school.” Jessica batted her eyelashes and made her cute puppy dog face.

Fine! You owe me.” I rolled my eyes before starting to get ready. I looked in my closet for about ten minutes before deciding on a dress that came down mid-thigh. It was red on the sleeves and chest area and the rest was black. I added a black belt below my chest for added affect. I slipped on a pair of red pumps and walked to the mirror to put natural looking foundation on, eyeliner, mascara, and red lip stick. I curled my long black hair, adding some extensions for volume.
