*Xander's Point of View*

The night was getting dark faster than usual.

But that didn't bother me.

The night air was a lot colder than before.

But that didn't bother me.

What bothered me was my pull to this light. No matter how much I say I could go back home any time I liked, I couldn't get myself to turn around. It was as if I couldn't get over the pull the light had on me. The power. And that really bothered me.

As I got closer, I felt a change in the air. It seemed still, and the only time air got still is when a storm was about to come.

I looked at the sky above, and all I saw was gray. A dark gray. But no storm.

The light stopped blinking, but I promise you I could hear the soft whisper of my name.

I was in the clearing of the light when I felt it. It stabbed me. It sliced my skin and I could feel the cold of the blades... wait blades? I'm in the middle of the woods why are there blades?

I jumped backed, frightened and my breaths were rapid and all over the place. I looked at my arms and they seemed perfectly fine. The scars that slowly healed are barley visible, but still there. I didn't see any sign of the razors I felt.

Looking back up I did not see anything out of the ordinary, but since when did I understand what was ordinary?

I took a few steps back, but I wish I never did. I started looking past the light when I saw two bodies on the ground. One boy and one girl. They both looked the same age, and they both looked my age.

I already knew coming here was a bad idea, but this was doing the most. What were bodies doing by that monstrosity of a light. Why did they look dead? And why was I apart of this? Out of all people, I had nothing of use.

I turned around and starting walking blindly into the woods. I kept tripping and stumbling over branches and roots, but I didn't dare to stop.

It started again. The name calling, but unlike before it felt more intent, more determined to get my attention.

"What do you want from me." I said slowing down. Like I expected I did not get an answer, but I got a response.

Breathing heavily, I walked slowly around the woods. I was lost. But, I still knew where the light was, because it didn't stop glowing.

I looked back up the sky and the realization hit me hard.

I'm stuck here and the only way out is to  go to the light.

I was scared. Frightened for the most part. The feeling of uncertainty was never a new thing to me, but this fear was something unreal.

I started walking back to the light when I felt a dull pain in my calf. I just ignored it, because it wasn't like I could treat myself here.

The closer I got to the light I felt a sudden drop in the air. It gave me goosebumps because all I was wearing were a pair of trousers and a shirt.

Grimacing, trudged until I made it to the same spot as before. I tried making logic of this before, but that didn't work. I tried using force, but that only ended up hurting me the first time. Now I'm losing hope, and sunlight.

I placed my arms out in front of me and tried using force again. By this point, with the sky darkening and my fear increasing, I had to try something. Anything.
