Growing Old

The fear of

Growing old

Only gets stronger

As I age.

The fear of

Not being capable

Makes me feel

Weak and scared.

The fear of

Losing my memory,

Our memories,

Kills me inside.

I don’t want to

Grow old

And forget the first

Time you talked to me.

I don’t want to

Grow old

And forget how

You looked at me.

I don’t want to

Grow old

And forget how

You hugged me.

I don’t want to

Grow old

And forget our first kiss

Or all the ones after it.

I don’t want to

Grow old

And forget anything

About my first real love.

I want to

Stay young

And remember

Your touch.

I want to

Stay young

And remember

Your warmth.

I want

To stay young

And relieve every

Sweet and perfect kiss.

If there is one positive

Thing about growing old,

It is that I get

To grow old with you.

Hey guys.

SUPER personal poem here, dedicated to the very guy I'm writing about, Ryver Lewis.

Ryver and I have been going out for 4 months now (the 17th being our anniversary) and I am not ashamed in any way to admit that I love Ryver to death.

What brought this poem on is my fear of growing up, and all of a sudden I thought, "Hey, at lease I can spend my life with Ryver."

And thus, this poem was born.

Okay, bye guys. Have a great day (:
