A sideways glance; mesmerizing, chaotic
A look that lingered for a fraction of a second
A stolen gaze; alluring, hypnotic
A fortuitous meeting of the eyes; attraction reckoned
A stare a little too long awakens the burning within
And lights that thing in her chest; a mortal sin
Difficulty focusing: phase one of disease
Amor deliria nervosa – infection increased
A barely-there touch; tingling, electrifying
A gentle squeeze on the hand; courage blooms
A finger tracing the curve of her lips; intoxicating
A caress on the neck, a kiss on the cheek; danger looms
A brushing of shoulders; noticeably quick, lingering
A feel of skin; strangely warm, threatening
Euphoria, fixation, paranoia: phase two
Amor deliria nervosa – procedure is due
An entwining of fingers, palm to palm
A tender whisper of sweet nothings
A smile appears; racing heartbeats calmed
A harmony of lullabies; a sudden shift of surroundings
An aching desire of passion, seductive
A feeling of rebellion; emotions elusive
Delusions, hallucinations: phase three of slaughter
Amor deliria nervosa – infected endangered
An exchange of promises; a sense of protectiveness
A perpetual bliss for something cherished dear
A fragile possession of the heart; adorned with kindness
Whilst strength grows comes the downfall of fear
Yet love, though a simple word, is deemed deadly; spurned
For with it two ill-fated souls be chastised, burned
Paralysis and death: phase four incurred
Amor deliria nervosa – disease uncured
