You’re so much more than your breast and thighs
Short dresses and stilettos
Showing all for men’s eye
Leaving nothing for the imagination
Then wonder why he doesn’t want to date you
Or romance you
He just wants a chance to
Get in the bed with you
And guess what?
You’re so much more than being labeled a baby mama
Withholding your child from their father due to personal hatred
Standing with your hand out
Wanting more
Money that is
So you can get your hair and nails done
Buy red bottoms and be turnt up in the club
Dancing to Drakes’ song, “No New Friends"
But letting all the fellas get a sample of that groupie love
While your baby is at home struggling to read
Barely enough to eat
And you wonder why?
Children get older and have a lack of respect
Because they see their mother acting as if she’s worthless
Keeping no good men in the house and around them
While their father is begging to see them
Getting locked up due to inaccurate reasons
But this is ok?
This is how we want our children raised?
Right?
They see these things
And try to turn away
But that same ignorant blood flows through their veins
So why do you think its ok for your daughter to twerk?
These young boys’ minds are already at work
Trying to get her alone
Trying to figure out
They just need a few minutes
So that they can get off
And then when it’s said and done
She’s the one labeled a hoe
But this girl had no guidance
So hoe is all she knows
With doors closed
No one knows that hidden behind her legs
Was a razor that she wanted to use to make all the confusion end
All she wanted was to feel love
And this is how she was shown
Seeing her mother act a fool
Every weekend she was home
So in turn she inherited
This degrading trait
Feeling like the only way to receive love
Was to give it away
Until that day
Someone special came into play
Took her to church
And taught her how to kneel down and pray
Told her if she believed and confessed
All her sins would be washed away
That she doesn’t have to live the life of others
But to find her own way
Now this beautiful flower
Has bloomed and excelled
Left and went away to college
Allowing Jesus to take the wheel
Moral is you can turn away from your past
Once you accept Jesus
Your past is just that
Yes
They are gonna hate
They are gonna talk
But the power within you
Makes it so much easier to walk
Away
From the negativity
That may
Try to reclaim
And persuade
And say
That you are still that young girl who gave it away
That you’re no better than your mother
And your father didn’t love you
But trust you have another parent
That places no one else above you
And your mate will learn of your former life
But will still appreciate, love and console you
Won’t allow another to degrade you
Because God placed him as the head
And if they disrespect you they disrespect him as well
See you made it from the slums of where you came from
And in God’s image you were crafted
Placed as a one of a kind model
People may know of your past
But where you are headed
You’ll have no time to reminisce
You’ll be too busy starting your business, getting that college degree,
Buying a new car or house, starting your own family tree
To be looking behind you
Worried about the hate of the enemy
Understand
What God’s hands have set before you
Your enemies will be blessed to see
