Heart pounding in my chest,

Thoughts are racing through my mind;

You tell me it was all a jest,

Every word you told in kind.

So much time spent together,

Talking, teasing, silence abound;

Frustration crowds me like bad weather;

Romance has long since not been found.

All you told me was a lie,

Promises you made were broken;

I was caught by a fox so sly;

My words and thought left unspoken.

     The only thing left to say is adieu,

     Because I am entering a world so new.
