Chapter 1

It was early October and Serene couldn't wait for her 18th birthday. She would have her first shift and the possibility of finding her mate. She was the current beta Jacob's daughter. A spitting image of her mother the only difference was their eyes. Serene was 5'6, had dirty blonde hair down to the middle of her back with a natural wave. Her deep cerulean blue eyes had golden specks, they lured people towards her. She loved sports and staying in shape, hence why she had such an athletic body with curves in all the right places.

Serene had graduated from high school with honors and along with her best friends Candice and Shaz, she had decided to take a year off school.

Candice who had been Serene’s friend since kindergarten was 18 and the youngest of triplets. Her brother's Caleb and Cameron were the future alpha and beta of their pride pack blue moon. Her father Paul and mother Michelle were the current Alpha and Luna of their pack, they were anxiously waiting for the boys to turn 21 so they could retire.

Cameron the middle triplet was always in trouble and known as the bad boy. After graduation Cameron left without warning or even a note to his family or friends. His dad Paul was already stressed out due to the constant threats of their rival pride blood moon. His mother and father become so worried and upset over Cameron’s disappearance that Paul became ill.

 Caleb the future alpha had to start his training earlier than expected due to his father’s current state. Since Cameron was still MIA Candice had started training too as she was to be the future beta incase Cameron did not return home. She started shadowing Jacob and learning defensive and fighting skills with Caleb so she could protect herself as well as the pride.

Serene's 18th was slowly approaching and she was getting very nervous.

  "What if something goes wrong? What if I don't have a mate?" Serene asked panicking nerves showing while she talked to her two best friends. Shaz met Serene and Candice in high school and they became friends instantly.

  "Everything will be fine Rene, trust me." said Candice hoping that using her nickname would calm her down.

 “Are you sure though? Candice. I mean you both haven’t shifted yet” Serene said pacing the Candice’s room. Both Shaz and Candice sat on the double bed their eyes following her go from one end to the other. They had never seen Serene like this ever. It brought them thoughts of how they would be when they shifted. But both put those aside for now it was Serene whose big day had arrived or at least one of the big ones
