You never know when you're falling in love with someone. It just happens. At least that's what happened to me. It was a normal day, nice and cool, there was also a gentle breeze. I can still remember when I saw him. I was walking down a random street, and turned my head to an alley. There he was, beating up a group of guys. Clearly he was outnumbered, but somehow in the end he had turned out victorious. Noticing me he locked eyes with me. He had a calm expression, his eyes were what caught my eyes the most. Two different eye colors - his right eye, a blue-gray and his left eye, brown. Before I knew it he was right in front of me.

"Oi, how long are you gunna stare like that?" He says quite irritatedly.

"Ah. Sorry, I've just never seen eyes like yours before." I say staring yet again in his eyes.

"Tsk." He lets out, closes his eyes, and walks right past me.

"Ah, wait." I say, pulling on the end of his shirt.

He turns back to me with a mean scowl on his face. I quickly rummage through my things, and hand him a white handkerchief with a small design of my initials. He looks at me confused.

"You have some blood of your face. You should probably wipe it off. You can keep it." I say shoving it in his hands, and walking away.

Suddenly I came to a halt. I turn around to see the dark haired male holding onto my wrist. He looks at me then vigorously wipes his face with my handkerchief. He then turns my wrist, and drops it. He locks eyes with me once again, and gives me a small smile.

"Thanks. But, you can have it back, M.K." He says walking away from me.

"M.K.?" Slightly blushing, I ask myself while walking in the opposite direction, and glancing at the time.

"Oh crap, I'm going to be late! He's going to be so mad." I say dashing off.

"You're 15 minutes late." He glares at me.

"I know I'm sorry. Forgive me, I ran into something." I say putting my hands together.

"Whatever. I'm just glad you showed up." He smiles.

"Of course, what kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't show up?" I say putting my hands on my hips.

"Let's get going." He says interlocking his fingers in mine.

We went to a nearby park to have some lunch, we ordered food from the street venders not too far down from the park.

"Maki, can I use your handkerchief?" Yagami asked me.

"Ahhh, actually it's dirty." I tell him.

"From what?" He asks.

"Well that's the reason I was late. I let someone use it to wipe off some blood." I answer taking another bite of my dango.

"Blood? Is this person okay?" He asks concerned.

"Yeah, he was in a fight, but won. I gave him my handkerchief to clean his face." I reply.

"A fight!? Maki, you shouldn't involve yourself with people like that. What if he hurt you?" Yagami scolds.

"He didn't seem like he would hurt me. Beside I can handle myself. You're such a worry wort, Yagami." I say looking up at him.

"Even so. You're a girl." He slightly glares at me.

"I'll be fine. I didn't take Judo in high school for no reason. I could probably take you down." I laugh.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." He says patting my head a bit.

"Where we off to now?" I ask him as I throw away my sticks.

"Downtown? Some widow shopping, maybe buy a few things?" He asks.

"Sounds like a plan." I smile.

The two of us roamed downtown, and explored the stores. Tried on outfits, looked at cool little knickknacks, and tried free samples that were out. Before we knew it, it had already became dark. Soon enough the streets were semi filled with people.

"Maki, your hand." Yagami says reaching out to me.

Gladly I take his hand. As we walk down the street we see a crowd, and decide to head over to it. Somehow we found our way to the front, seeing a gang of people all surrounding a man in the center.

"Oi, Kurose you're gunna pay for this afternoon." A guy says.

"Back for more already? What a bore." The guy in the middle says. Somehow his voice sounded familiar.

"How mean, they're all ganging up on that guy." I say.

"I feel sorry for the guy." Yagami sympathies.

Soon enough all the guys attack him at once. But to everyone's surprise the man dodges all the blows. He was just simply evading all the attacks that were thrown at him. No hits were landing at all. As all the other men try their best to land just one hit, Kurose was gracefully sliding past their punches. It looked like he was dancing. Then bang, in a flash all the opponents were taken out.

"Man, this guy is crazy strong." Yagami comments.

"Next time, bring stronger guys if you wanna take me down." Kurose says walking off in our direction.

As he opens his eyes, I immediately recognize him. The two different eye colored man from this afternoon. Surprisingly he recognizes me too.

"Oh hey, it's you." He says as he stopped in front of me.

"You know him Maki?" Yagami asks.

"Not exactly. Remember what I told you about my handkerchief? Well he's the one who used it this morning." I reply.

"Maki's your name, huh? Well thanks for earlier." He says giving me a small smile again.

"Let's go. We shouldn't socialize with this guy. I'll take you home." Yagami says pulling me away.

"Ah, wait. Here." I say pulling out the handkerchief handing it to Kurose, again.

"Maki, he's a tough guy. He can handle himself." Yagami says.

"Thanks again, M.K. Oh and nice boyfriend ya got. See ya around." Kurose whispers in my ear before disappearing in the crowd.

A little shocked I put my hand over my ear, as a light blush dances across my cheeks. Yagami still pulling me away from the scene, taking me home.
