This is just a little piece I put together. Today was crazy and it felt nice to get a chance to write something. I haven't been able to write anything in a while. I was thinking about entering this in a school contest but I'm not too sure it's good enough. I was thinking about adding another stanza or two. If you think I should enter this poem or any of my other pieces of poetry into my school contest please tell me!

Don’t You Want To Be Pretty?
Don’t you want to be pretty?
To paint yourself a new face
Cover your imperfections in make-up
And wear a flirty smile all day
Don’t you want to be pretty?
Put yourself above the rest
Look down at all of your “friends”
Just yell at them instead
Don’t you want to be pretty?
Go giggle and laugh all around
Make stupid mistakes that end up in breaks
Don’t you, feel pretty now?
Don’t you want to be pretty?
Live life to the extreme
Drink and smoke, come try some coke
You’ll be the hottest teen
I don’t want to be pretty
I’d much rather be plain old me
With my twists and quirks
It’s a whole other sport
And I play it beautifully
