Where I'm From.

I am from books and libraries

From family time and outings

I am from a loving environment

And a place where there's support among love

I am from an Iris

Whose leaves grow upward towards the sky

I am from parks and pools

From the Madrigal and the Cantu

And from courageous and loving relatives

From talkative and supportive beings

I am from a Catholic family with its religious views

From ground beef to fajita

From weddings

And from all types of celebrations

From birthdays parties to graduations to baby showers

I am from the moments where the world was right,

where everything was going right for a change,

where we all seem to love one another

I am from those who have loved and nurtured me into this person I have become

I am my family with all their traits and yet some of my own.
