I got to my contemporary class late, good way to make a first impression. It's all stupid Connors fault too, if he didn't have to be so self-centered I would have been here on time. Thankfully, everyone was stretching so no one noticed me walking in late. I put my bag down and starting stretching as well.

"Trying to blend in?" An unfamiliar voice asked me.

I turn my head to see a beautiful boy stretching beside me.

"Uh, yeah." I say while trying to hide my drool.

"Don't worry, I'll keep your little secret," He tells me. "I'm Cameron." He says and holds out his hands.

I give him my hand and say, "I'm Nikki."

"I know," He says.

I put a confused look on my face. "Should I be creeped out?" I ask.

He chuckles at my response, "No, I know you from your audition, it was amazing! I had to go after you, you made me look a little bit weak but somehow I'm still here." He said.

"I'm sure your much better than you give yourself credit for." I tell him.

He doesn't say anything, he just smiles at me. His beautiful smile. NO NIKKI, just no! No, no, no. No thinking about boys. Even if they do look like him. Aww, but how am I not supposed to drool every time I see him when he's is so sexy! It wouldn't hurt to have just a crush on him.

"Okay class, sorry I took so long, I was having a discussion with Mr.Coin on Fridays showcase," A person, who I'm guessing is the teacher, said. " Now we are going to skip the 'getting to know each other' part, all you need to know is that I am Mrs.Rivera. Now get into partners." She demanded.

I didn't really know anyone here so I just waited for someone to walk up to me and ask me to be their partner. I felt a light tap on my shoulder and turned around to see it was Cameron .

"Want to be partners?" He asked, with a genuine smile on his face.

"Sure." I answered.

"Okay, now that you have partners, I am going to give you 5 minutes to get to know your partner, then I'm going to call you up to my mini studio and help you make up a dance, yes you can choose the music, but it has to be a contemporary song, that is why you are taking my class. You guys will have 1 hour to make up the dance, then you are going to perform it for the class. Best three performances will perform a piece that I will be choreographing at the showcase on Friday, which I'm sure you have heard of. Now get to work." She explained.

"Well, she's kind of demanding." I whispered to Cameron.

"Try very demanding." He whispered back.

We turned to face each other and he started the question.

"Okay, so what grade are you in?"

"9th," I answered. "You?"

"10th." He answered.

"Wait, if your in 10th then why where you at the auditions?" I asked.

"My brother was auditioning, I was there for support." He told me.

"Aww, that's so sweet." I said.

"Yeah, so what made you want to go to this school." He asked.

"I wanted to be a famous dancer ever since I was a little girl. I made sure everyone in my dance class know that I was the best. I was a coincided little child. There was always a dream that I would be dancing in the best Arts school in Hollywood, I tried auditioning for it last year but they figured out I was in grade 8. But they told me I had the dancing abilities of a 11th grader." I told him.

"Nice, and I can see that's true. That's why your in the advanced class right now." He told me.

"Yeah, I guess so." I answered. "Do you only dance contemporary?" I asked.

"Um, well no. I'm good a jazz too." He answered.

"Oh, really. Did you audition with a jazz routine or a contemporary?"

"Actually, I sang for my audition." He told me.

"Ohh, double threat, I like it." I told him.

"Triple threat actually, I act too." He said jokingly and winked. We laughed off for a while, then we sat there in silence. I was about to ask another question but the 5 minutes were up and we had to go rehearse our dance.

"What song should we do?" He asked me.

"I know it's over by Jeff Buckley, I have had this routine planned out for months in my head.

"Well, good then. Now all you have to do is teach it to me!" He said impressed.

"It's a little intense, you think you can handle it?"  I asked him jokingly.

"Oh, I can handle it." He said with a smirk.

"Okay guys, do you have an idea of what you want in your routine?" Mrs.Rivera asked us.

"Actually we already have it made up we just need to rehearse it." I told her.

"Oh, okay then I guess you won't be needing me." She said with a smile on her face, and then walked away. I spent 15 minutes teaching Cameron the dance, then we just had to practice it a few times and we were ready. I felt confident with him as my partner. I knew we would be one of the 3 couples. He was an amazing dancer, and an amazing partner. Not once was I afraid that he was going to drop me. I could trust him. I knew that when I fell back he would be there to catch me.

Mrs.Rivera thought it would be best to perform or piece in the auditorium, as if it was a real show.

"So, is there anyone who would like to go first?" She asked the class.

I looked over at Cameron and asked him if he wants to go first. He shrugged.

"Uh, we will Mrs.Rivera." I told her.

"Okay, then go up on stage."

(Play video on the side)

We were done out dance and I never felt this great about a piece that I choreographed, Mrs.Rivera and some of the girls in the class were standing up clapping and crying. I looked over at Cameron and he was smiling down at me. We bowed down, and went back to our seats. I didn't really focus on anyone's performance. I was just so happy, that all i could think about was performing that a million times with Cameron. I didn't realize the performances were finished and that Mrs.Rivera was talking until she said "And the 3 couples who I have chosen to dance my piece are Cameron and Nikki, Josh and Rachel, and Melanie and Robert."

"Cameron, we got picked!" I told him excited.

He smiled and hugged me.

Everyone was staring to pack their bags so I started doing the same.

"Hey, do you want to grab a coffee after school today??" Cameron asked.

"I'd love to, but I can't!" I told him, sadly. "This self-centered manic is making our group rehearse a hip-hop routine after school and tomorrow. But I'm free Wednesday, maybe we can go to the movies or something." I told him shyly.

"It's a date," He said "Here's my number." He told me as he wrote it down on a piece of paper. "Text me."

"I will." I said slightly blushing.

I can't believe I have date, already on the first day of school. That wasn't really part of the plan. But he doesn't seem like he'll do any harm.

I texted Demi and told her everything about what happened.

'Hi Demzz, it feels like we haven't talked in forever, but we talked this morning :$ Ahahah, anyway you wouldn't believe my day. First this really attractive but self- centered guy starts bossing me around. I was ready to slap the attractiveness out of him. He's making our group rehearse after school today for the showcase. Oh, yeah I'm performing in the show case!!! For hip-hop and contemporary!!! Isn't that cool. Oh speaking of contemporary, my partner is this super smexy guy, who is an amazing dancer, and guess what he asked me out!! That's right, as in on date!! Well, that's pretty much it, tell me about your day bbg (L) xoxo- Nikki<3'
