Chapter Eleven

Kendall’s POV

I really disliked being so far away from Logan, I missed holding his tiny little body in my hand and frankly, when I told Sierra that she had to look after him her whole face went green, I had a feeling she wasn’t used to very small children, hell, I guess I’m not either. Felix and his sister Laura dawdling behind. I tip-toed around, there had been a rumour there was a blind spot to all the guards, I was thinking that all of us could sneak out and alert the police. Hope rose in me like a balloon filled with helium, I could see Harry again, be in his arms; he would see his son for the very first time. God, I couldn’t wait to see the look on his face.

I had been so caught up in my thoughts that I accidently kicked a stone across the hallway, Felix and Laura pulled me back just as a guard walked past, looking for anyone. I nodded towards them to show my thanks. We snuck past the buff as hell guards and continued to continue down the hallway, hiding in the shadows. I gave a quick glance over my shoulder to check to see if Felix and Laura were okay. Felix was looking over his shoulder, checking to see if anyone was following us; his hand gently on Laura’s back, making sure she was still there. I noticed Laura looked a little uneasy; I gave her my best reassuring smile and a quick thumbs up. She nodded her head, giving back a small smile, she looked like she was about to throw up.

I looked around one last time to make sure we were completely alone, “How far until this said blind spot?” I whispered my words towards Felix, he turned his head to make eye contact with me, “We shouldn’t be too far away. We haven’t seen a guard in about twenty metres.” I nodded then turned my attention back to Laura. “You okay kiddo?” I rested my hand on her shoulder; she shook her head as she went an edgy green, she then suddenly collapsed, Felix and I caught her just before she smashed the crap out of her head on the concrete. “Laura?” Felix whisper shouted. He placed her softly on the floor, he shook her hastily. “Laura?” he repeated. I placed my hand on her forehead, “She’s burning up; she needs a doctor.” Felix glared up at me, “Last time I check there was no fucking hospital around here.”

“Oi, watch your tone.”

“Who are you my mother?”

“I wouldn’t be because you kissed me! Unless you have a secret thing for your mother.”

“Bite me.”

“Oh grow up Felix.” I spat after our little ‘argument’. If that’s what you could even call it. “You’re going to have to take her back to Bianca; she could probably do something about it. I’ll find the blind spot then return okay?” Felix nodded then with great care, slid one of his hands under his sister’s legs then the other under her back. He stood up slowly; worry flashed in his eyes. The way he stood tall and strong gave me confusing thoughts. Without saying another word he began to sneak back the way we came. After I made sure that they were safely out of view, I continued forwards, hoping to find this ‘blind spot.’

Toni’s POV

I remember why I don’t like sleeping. The nightmares, they’re going to tear me apart. Especially the way I flipped out like I was having a seizure after waking up from the last one, especially since I was on a plane with God knows how many people. “What the fuck was that?” Harry growled under his breath at me. “I have nightmares okay?”

“Just nightmares? I thought you were going into some epileptic fit!”

“Okay, maybe they’re chronic, sorry if I hit your girly little face.”

“It’s not that, you scared me for a second.” I cocked my head towards him, frowning. “You care too much for people.”

“Well, maybe you need to care a little more.”

“Hey, I care; I’m saving your sister for Christ’s sake.”

“Yeah, but you’re doing it to get back at Big Teddy, not because you give a fuck about my sister.” I shrugged my shoulders, “Well that’s what happens when you don’t have emotions. Plus, you use the word fuck too much.” I heard him give a sigh of defeat then everything went silent again. I picked up the book I was reading and turned to my page, scanning over the words, but I couldn’t find myself concentrating on the words, I was reading the words, but they weren’t registering  in my mind. I was suddenly disrupted by an overly fake sweet voice, “Are you okay now sweetie?” I turned to see an oddly familiar face, she worked for big teddy, I knew it. “I’m fine thank you!” I smiled just as fakely as her. “Here have compliment drinks, on the house.” She handed over three cokes in a glass with ice bobbing around.

“Thank God. I was getting thirsty.” Louis exclaimed, she smiled then walked off. When I knew she was out of sight I glared at Louis then snatched the glass out of his hand. “Don’t drink it!” I hissed. He frowned with confusion, “she was just being nice.” I shook my head and leaned in towards Louis and Harry. “She drugged them, or put a micro tracking device in it. I recognise her, she works for Big Teddy. She probably saw you two and conducted a theory, if you’re here with me, without your mates, then you’re going back for Sierra and the pregnant one.”

“Kendall. Her name is Kendall.” Harry growled at me through gritted teeth, “Oh don’t get your knickers in a twist. Sorry I never caught her name.” he glared at me some more, before Louis put a hand on his shoulder, signalling to stop. “Then what do you propose you do with these drinks? She’s going to check if we finished them.” I rubbed the back of my neck, thinking of something to do; when I came up with a stupid yet brilliant idea. The drinks trolley began to walk by us, they stopped in front of us. I grinned and placed the drinks on the trolley and grabbed three other glasses. Luckily I managed to do this without the man moving the trolley noticing. “That was fantastic.” Louis uttered, I smirked “Why thank you, I’m just the master of swapping.” I wiggled my eyebrows, before picking up my book again.

Kendall’s POV

It actually existed, the blind spot. It was actually there. I examined the fence with caution, barbed wire at the top and the fence itself seemed pretty secure. I pulled at it, to see if it would give way. It only bent with my way then rebounded back when I let go. I frowned and walked its length again; it was only small, but well hidden. I licked my lips to moisten them, there had to be a breach or even something that could help me break through. But it was dumb hope. But I was glad I had found this area. I turned on my heel, ready to head back to tell the others.

***********

“Kendall! Where in God’s sake have you been?” Sierra shouted before pulling me into a bear hug, I hugged her back. “Guys, I found the blind spot, it’s a fence, but, we need something that could breach it, we could break out tonight! As long as we have something to cut the fence, but then we’d be free, free from the tyranny of Big Teddy!” I looked around as the hope in everyone’s eyes lit up. “But first of all, is Laura okay?” I turned my attention to Felix, he nodded, “Just a little food poisoning.” I smiled. “Who is down for tonight? We can all escape and be free!”

“Let’s do this.” Sierra shouted, resting her hand on my shoulder, beaming with hope. Everyone one stood up and cheered. I could tell this was going to go smoothly without a hitch.

Sup my Brothers from another mother and Sisters from another mister. The last chapter is dawning upon us. Woo, I am breaking up the final chapter into bits like this and spreading it out for fun. Yeeha. But one or two more chapters should do before the Epilogue and the end of this series. I wonder what will happen. Bwahaha.
