Chapter 1 The Blaze

It was a cold morning in a small town in San Diego where everyone lives their normal routine life. So there's me and my life is just the same as other high school senior students. Since this is my last year in high school it was typical that my parents would pressure me in order for me to attend the high rank competitive college. Those colleges don't open accept all students and just for that I had to take exam almost every week. I felt miserable. I had always thought, if I could run away from all these burdens I could just clear away all my problems. However I seemed to be wrong.

Well, let me introduce myself to you. My name is Seth Sanders. I am a 17-year-old kid currently in 12 grades in Westview High school. At this stage of my life I became pessimistic about everything because the expectations are driving me crazy and I would do anything to stop myself from having to face these problems.

My thoughts were interrupted by a sound that called me out of my conscience.

" I am expecting straight A grade this term Seth, I expect no failure from you" said my mom.

"Yeah, yeah" I replied walking out of the car.

I always hated when my mum does that. I mean I have to study my eyes out on this school why can't she understand that? Anyway while walking, I saw my friend Aaron Jones waiting at the school entrance. He wore a yellow jacket, jeans and white basketball Nike shoes typical high school students.

I asked "What's up bro? Wanna hang out this morning?"

"Sure it's not like there's any important class this morning anyway" Aaron replied.

Let me tell you something about Aaron. He's 5'10 and he's Caucasian, very smart and athletic. He is the best buddy I have (except some friend from my old school but more about that later). Aaron shared the same feeling as I because we felt like studying with drones since these nerds never had any social life. It's like having only one friend in this school. I always felt my life to be better. This life is not what I want and I am gonna do something about it.

Every week we would skip Tuesday morning class and hang out. We thought it would be more interesting than to study boring classes. But today we didn't notice that this decision would bring us more than we hope for. At least that was for me.

We were on the way to the mall when we saw a house that (I swear) was not really there yesterday or any other days! The house was made out of wood so old which shown that it was not been vacant for a very long time. It reminds me of a haunted house people see in the movies. The steps are covered with black slimy moss which shown its dark color from afar. I am sure the house was definitely wasn't here. We both exchange a confusing glance.

"I am sure this house was not here yesterday" Aaron said

" Me neither, then how come it stood as if no one's lived in it for some time?" I replied
