Walking into the kitchen for dinner I was extremely nervous. I didn't want people to judge me and I know how rumors spread. I was thankful that no one was paying attention so I quickly took my seat next to a pack member named Teresa and made a plate.

I didn't dare to look up at the alphas, partly because I was embarrassed and the other half scared because I walked out on them. They like control and when they don't have it they lash out.

They know exactly what they're doing too. Letting this rumor go on and on showing other guys I was theirs without actually making me theirs. I can't help but feel both happy and sad at the same time. I mean, it's not like I don't want them to be mine. I'm just scared because I know they will never totally be mine. I don't want to be just another girl that they've slept with.

The moment I lifted my head up Damon was already staring at me. Looking over to the left he had a blonde practically on his lap laughing at whatever Dravon was saying. I looked back at him raising a brow as he slid the girls arm off of him smirking at me like this was some game he was willing to play.

Not wanting to participate I looked down ignoring him trying to finish my food as fast as I could already wanting to get out of there.

Everyone started to clear the table and go their separate ways as I walked out back to find the twins' father, George.

"Fancy seeing you here," I said leaning against one the pillars. He chuckled pulling a lighter out of his pocket lighting his cigarette.

"What are you doing out here. Everyone's making their way to the clearing for the bonfire." he said walking to a chair.

"I'm not really feeling the pack festivities these days." I replied following him to the chair next to him.

"Margaret is furious with you, you know," he said chuckling. Margaret is his mate and mother to the alphas.

"She just got back two days ago. I know she has a lot on her plate. I didn't want to bother her," I told him, feeling guilty as he smiled.

"Of all the people that came to see her, you were the one she couldn't wait to see," he said taking my hand. "She misses you. She could really use you right now. I don't want to put pressure on you but you're the only one that makes her feel good."

"I'll be sure to go see her tomorrow. But don't tell her. I'll surprise her," I said as he nodded.

"She'll enjoy that." He looked down at me and smiled. "So what's going on with you and my sons?" He asked looking out puffing his cigarette.

"I don't know, I just think were growing apart." I answered as he looked over at me.

"In what way?"

"We've been friends for years now. All of us are different people and it wasn't like we were going to always be friends. They're going to be meeting there mates soon and so will I it's better for everyone to start taking a step back." I answered as he smiled.

"You don't think you will end up as there mates."

"Not to be rude, but they sleep with almost everyone in this pack. They don't understand what it is to be in a relationship seeing as they never been in one. They don't know what it is to faithful." I explained as he laughed.

"This is what they need. Someone to pull them in. Remind them who they are and where they come from."

"I don't think I'm the one to do that." I said as he nodded standing up ashing out his cigarette.

"Come on let's get to this gathering before they notice were playing hooky." He said as we started walking towards the opening.

The lights were strung and you could hear the music and drums playing as soon as we stepped into the woods. The night was beautiful as the humidity was finally breaking. Once we made it to the clearing George was pulled away and I was left alone but not for long. I spotted Andy from across the way as he started walking towards me.
