Alexandria POV:

Hi, I'm Alexandria but people call me Alex. I'm trying to be a normal 17 year old. But being the nerd or the looser in high school isn't helping very much. I'm not on for fitting in with the popular crowd. I'm 5'6, with long brown hair, blue eyes, and freckles. My best friend is Rose. She isn't very popular either. She is shorter than I am, with long blonde hair, and green eyes. We have been best friend for about 6 years. We have never understood why we are best friends, but if you look into our past you can see we have a lot alike. Both of out parents are divorced. Neither of us have a good relationship with our moms. My dad left me when I was 3 years and I haven't heard from him since. My mom is always taking her pain out on me. So I have to deal with my moms problems and my own.  So you could say I've had a rough life, and its only getting worse...

Tomorrow is the first of my senior year. I go to Riverbank high school in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its a fairly small uniform school. Yeah, uniforms. I slowly crawl out of bed and get into the shower. I let the hot water wake me up as I recap from the events that happened last night. My mom brought home her new boyfriend last night for me to meet. He was a complete douche bag. I eventually just left and walked back to my room. I get out of the shower and wrap my towel around me and walk into my room to find my uniform. A plaid uniform skirt, white button down shirt with the schools logo on the top left of the shirt, with knee high plaid socks, and black flats.  I put on foundation, blush, mascara, gold eye shadow, and a little lip gloss. I grab my book bag and my white iPhone and head downstairs. I see my mom and her boyfriend, John sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Good morning honey" my mom says all happy. She's never this happy.   

"Hey mom. I got to go, I'm going to be late. Bye!" As I walk out I grab my keys to my 2005 blue, Jeep and drive off to the hell hole called school. Its about a 10 minute drive and I see Rose standing next to her car. As I park, she walks up to my car "Hey girl!"

"Hey Rose! Is that a new guy?" He's about 6 foot, short brown hair, really cute if I might add!

"Yeah, I guess he is!" We walk into out homeroom and I see the new kid sitting alone. I felt bad so me and Rose walked over to him "Hey, my name is Alexandria Connors, but you can call me Alex. And this is my best friend Rose!"

"Hey I'm Eli Summers." His voice. Was gorgeous, just like he was.  

"So, are you new here? I've never seen you around before." Rose asks

"Yeah, I'm new. I from New York. I moved down here with my mom." He sounds so sad.

"Cool, when did you move?" I asked. 

"About a month ago."

"Hello class, I'm Mrs. Edwards your English teacher. Take your seats."

For the next three classes I sat with Rose and Eli. We chatted every once in a while. Eli's nice and funny. easy to get along with. As Rose, Eli, and me walk to the cafeteria the snotty cheerleaders come up and start talking to Eli. 

"Oh, look at the new kid hanging out with the losers."  Brittany the head bitch. Gosh I cant stand her..

"Oh hello Brittany. So glad to see you." Rose really cannot stand her.

"Shut up Rose. Who's he? A new member to the looser club?" Can she not shut up? We just kept walking. Ignoring Brittany. "Sorry about that. She's always been like that." I said to Eli.

"It's ok. I'm use to it." We get into the cafeteria and find a empty table in the back of the room. Where no one sits.   

"So, Eli tell us about yourself!" Rose says in between bites.     

"Well, I'm 18, I live with my mom, My dad left us, that's about it. What about y'all?"

I started "Well, I'm 17 almost 18, My dad also left me when I was younger, I live with my mom, and rose is my best friend."

"Well, my name is Rose even though you already knew that, I'm 18, I live with my mom and my sister Autumn, that's about all. Wow, all of us have a lot in common! Its kind of weird if you asked me!"

"It is!" me and Eli say in sync. For the rest of the day we just chat in our classes and get to know each other. Eli's really funny and sweet once you get to know him. We actually have a lot in common. But it seems like he's hiding something.

As the bell rings we walk out of out last class of the day "Hey Eli, do you want to come over and hang out at my house with me and Rose?"

"Uh, sure." I wrote down my address on a piece of paper and I got in my car and headed home.
