“Why, um I mean how, do you block out the drooling girls? I mean is it not hard to focus on your work at school and all that with them ogling at you?” I asked innocently, crossing my fingers behind my back hoping he didn’t notice my stupid drunken slip up. That’s it I am not drinking ever again! Haha, yeah right. But seriously, I think drunken me will avoid him in future. He nodded at my question, seeming to run it over in his head for what felt like decades whilst his eyes seemed to flash momentarily with what looked like disappointment, but that would make no sense.
His signature smirk graced his tempting lips and I breathed a sigh of relief, knowing I was in the clear. “What, you mean girls like you Amelia?” he teased.
“You wish,” I scoffed, covering my tracks, even though he was completely right with that accusation. “If I really worshipped you like the others then would I not have been out searching for you like a lost puppy rather than with Elijah?” I smirked internally as his eyes narrowed slightly but kept up the innocent smile that stretched across my face and batted my eyes for good measure.
“You would have been better doing that than getting it on with that horny idiot,” he ground out.
“Maybe I wanted to ‘get it on’ with him!”
“You’re drunk Amelia, you don’t know what you want.”
If I hadn’t been so annoyed at him, then I probably would have thought he looked incredibly hot angry, heck even annoyed with him I still thought he looked downright – oh what’s that word Jonny uses? Oh yeah... – bangable.
“You know what they say; the truth comes out with alcohol.” With that I turned on my heel and headed back to the party leaving a fuming Keenan behind me. All the questions I had for him had went out of my head and it was left with nothing but anger.
