Chapter Twenty: Move Slow And Steady

Lottie's Point of View

"This is going to hurt isn't it?" Lupin asked Dumbledore as I run towards him. Dumbledore smiled, and Lupin held open his arms. I landed with an 'ooff',

"Daddy daddy daddy!" I squealed and Lupin hugged me tightly,

"Lottie Lottie Lottie!" He repeated. I then let go and beamed,

"Guys it's Dad!"

"YO YO REMUS!" Alex yelled, getting up from the floor. Lupin, Dumbledore and I walked across the hall,

"How ya doin' ya blue hair nut?" Lupin said. Alex gave a loud laugh, before high fiving Lupin,

"Colette--"

"I know sir, McGongall said to come alone." I assumed what was coming, "I'm sorry. I apologise for all of us."

"Don't be so silly Miss Lupin."

"And the twins! Still trying to blow everyone else up eh?" I heard Lupin ask the twins. He shook George's hand, and then Fred's, "He still pining for my daughter?"

"As ever." Fred nodded. They then begun a quiet conversation, which ended with a loud laugh. I noticed George had sat back down on the wall, folded his arms and had begun to sulk,

"I expected nothing less for you four." Dumbledore said, "I knew I would be seeing at least two of you this afternoon."

"It won't happen again." I tried to convince him as well as myself. Dumbledore looked at me over the top of his glasses, and his expression told me I needed to change my sentence, "I'll try to stop them again." I concluded,

"That sounds more probable." Dumbledore nodded, "Right, Miss Tonks and Mr Weasley's, I think it's about time you were making your way to dinner."

"What about Lot?" 

"Miss Lupin--"

"Is much more important than you, and her business is none of yours, so keep your large nose out of it!" I told Alex, and tapped the end of her nose,

"Ew, geoff!"

"Not quite." Dumbledore said, "But it is true. And I'm sure that you will all be let know of mine and Professor Lupin's prior arrangements soon enough. Now run along you three!"

"Well see ya Lot!" Alex said. She held her hand up, and I fist bumped it,

"Stay out of trouble!" I called to her over the twins arms that had wrapped around me,

"We'll miss you Lottie!"

"Don't forget me!"

"Or me!"

"He's in love with you-- Ow!" 

"No I am not!"

"Now now guys! She's coming back!" Lupin confined,

"Oh cool!" The twin said excitedly,

"I thought it was all over!"

"Me too!"
