Y/N had always had an unexplainable fear of storms, perhaps it was the violent hammering of rain against the windows or the strong force of wind that raged through the whole house, but she hated these times.
Another flash of lightning caused Y/N to sit up clutching her bedsheets like a young child. She decided to try and find some comfort during this frightening night.
She thought of the people who wouldn't mind sharing a bed or being woken up at this time.
Her bare feet touched the cold floor as she silently padded across the room to her door, quietly opening it and closing it. She crossed to the room opposite where a Russian male resided.
She entered biting her nail nervously as the young man rubbed his eyes and sat up. He looked at her with worry and crossed the room to reach her. "What's wrong, возлюбленная(1)?" Peter asked with a concerned look in his eyes.
"I-I know it s-sounds childish, b-but I'm afraid of t-the storm." She confessed, fiddling with her fingers. He held her close and kissed her forehead. "Nothing will happen to you, дорогой(2), I promise." He saw the girl's unease.
"Would you like to stay with me tonight?" Peter asked, looking down at the smaller person in his arms.
"If it's not too much trouble." She said quietly. "Of course not." He smiled down at her, he then picked her up bridal style and gently laid her down on the right side of the bed.
He lay down next to her and held her fragile body close. The next flash of lightning outside made Y/N whimper, he cradled her as if she were a baby and started to murmur one of his childhood lullabies to her.
After a few minutes, her breathing became steady and her eyes were now closed. He smiled and gently kissed her lips, closing his own eyes and drifting into a peaceful sleep.
