Abridging is when a person or group of people take clips of a real anime and make it into a shorter, different version. Some examples would be;
YouTube-
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series (YGOTAS) made by LittleKuriboh.
Piolet no Jitsu- Naruto abridged made my LittleKuriboh/ NinjaBridge
None Piece- One Piece abridged made by PurpleEye'sFTW
