After making popcorn, I walked into the living room where Derek sat.

"You don't have cable?" He raised an eyebrow, flipping through our limited channels.

"Nope," I shrugged and sat down next to him.

"How do you survive?!" He asked shocked.

"I don't watch very much tv," I giggled.

"What kind of teenager are you?..." He shook his head.

"The kind with a life," I replied.

"Oh, you're gonna pay for that one..." I watched a grin spread across his face. He put the remote on the table and turned towards me.

"Uh-oh..." I whispered.

"Uh-oh is right..." He smirked.

I bolted right up and ran upstairs, sending popcorn flying everywhere. I heard him running after me, as I rushed into the bathroom and locked the door.

I leaned against the door and slid onto the floor. My heart was racing. After a second I pressed my ear to the door, but heard nothing.

I waited a couple minutes until I decided to move. I looked around for a defense weapon, but found nothing.

I took a deep breathe and unlocked the door. I cracked it open just enough to stick my head through and check my surroundings. The coast looks clear. Slowly, I crept out of the bathroom and tiptoed towards my fathers room.

I made it in safely and closed the door.

Turning around, I let out a breathe.

"Nice try," Derek stood right in front of me grinning.

"Shit..." The second I went to reopen the door, he had my pinned up against the wall.

"Gotcha!" He chuckled softly.

"Oh darn, you did! Now you can let me go..." I smiled sweetly at him.

"You gonna take it back?" He asked.

"Never..." I giggled.

"Then I don't thinks so." His grip didn't hurt, but it was secure enough to hold me.

"Ow, Derek please let go," I said, faking the pain.

"Paige," he instantly let go and took a few steps backwards. "Paige I'm sorry."

"Sucker..." I grinned and ran into the hall.

I turned my head just in time to see Derek bounding towards me. His arms wrapped around my waist, as he lifted me up and spun. I squealed, curling myself into a ball.

He leaned back onto the wall, and slid down. So that I was sitting on his lap.

We were both breathing heavy by then.

"You ok?" He grinned.

"Yeah, you?" I smiled.

"Couldn't be better," he chuckled. "You're a sneaky one."

"I wasn't gonna give up that easily." I giggled.

I rested my head on his chest and listened to his steady heartbeat. His arms wrapped around me while I sat on top of him.

We just lay there, in my hallway, neither one of us saying a word.

"I like this," Derek finally broke the silence.

"Me too." I said honestly.

"But..." He said, pushing me backwards so that I was laying on the ground, with him over me. "I'm still waiting for you to apologize."
