Now, imagine if for a moment life was like a movie or a really good book.

I’ll give you a minute.

Ya got that picture?

Good.

Now, you are in your house,

sitting in your chair reading a book.

You hear a knock on the door.

You glance up at the clock.

It’s 1 o’clock in the morning.

You think. Who could possibly be here at this time?

You get up and head to the door.

You see your ex-best friend.

He ditched you for his girlfriend three years ago.

You open the door and he falls into your arms.

Instinctively, you catch him.

He begins bawling.

You stand there holding him, confused and concerned.

You second guess if you should care, but he was your best friend.

You know, well knew him better than anyone.

You take him over to the couch while he gathers himself.

You sit down in the chair by the couch

and he continues crying and trying to speak.

He finally says that he has a confession.

He says he regrets going with that one girl three years ago.

She cheated on him.

He found out two weeks after you left.

He admits he’s spent the last three years looking for you.

You had changed your number and moved across the country without telling anyone.

He finally says that he loves you with all his heart.

You realize that he saved you from yourself.

That night you had been planning to kill yourself

and that book you were reading that was a how-to book about the quickest way to die.

You knew you loved him.

From the beginning, you knew.
