"Get to work Melody oh, you get on my nerves! Your just a good for nothing brat who can't use her hands".

Most people think those are the meanest words anyone could say to a motherless girl with her father gone half the time. I didn't consider Vannesa as a mother or Medusa as I called her.

My chores were mopping, scrubbing, mending, serving , and everything else in between. I had know friends or schooling. My step-kin however did. Medusa said it was my duty to take care of the house, but the truth is I'm a servant in my own home.

If I do have free time I spend it by the ocean. It's really my only escape. I feel at ease there.

"Melody make sure that my eggs are boiled just right or I'll double your chores"! "Yes mam".

No matter how she treated me I was always kind. The only thing that kept me calm was the song I sung when I felt alone, or sad or just upset

A Wild Place is Still Upon

The Magic of A Unicorn

A Blue Moon's Magic Power

Is at Your Will this very Hour

A voice that still calms the Sea

Beauty and a Tale

Roams The Ocean floor

and ventures where ships never sail

If you sing her song, if you are born of this

she will appear and grant you one wish

But never underestimate the power of the sea

For her song is beckoning

Come to me Come to me

For her beauty not for mortal eye is

seen by the one born of the sea

I don't really know how I know it but I do. Which leaves me wandering- "Melody COME Quickly"!! Here we go again I thought as I ran towards Jacqueline's bedroom door.
