Paris, Kentucky is located in the heart of horse-country.  It is real and, when I'm homesick, it is Paris that I yearn for.  You won't find many places like it.  The land rolls, the horses run and, every September morning, fog covers the grass like the day's too lazy to wake.

I've been blessed to know a few men like Marshal, but my greatest inspiration came from the Wagoner and Earlywine Families.  I hold them all in very high regard and miss them all greatly.

As always, there are people to thank:

Monica- thank you for sharing your name with the main character and thank you for everything you invested in the story.

My husband.  Writing is a kind of mania, I'm convinced of it.  None of you can know the sacrifices a loved one makes so that a writer can scribble their crazy ideas.  It's never convenient and it isn't nearly as fun for them as it is for us.  Still, he's put up with this for almost five years now and I'm blessed to have his understanding.
