The Heart of Stone

The girl made of clay,

Molded into beauty,

She let her dreams stray,

Reaching towards the sky.

Smile stuck on her face,

Oblivion of cruel shark,

She danced along the way,

The way of her dreams.

In way, she met a handsome boy,

Whose heart she felt was of gold,

Little did she know,

The true feature of the boy.

They both played along,

Giggling, dancing she reached her shore,

And at last shark revealed itself,

Pushing her in the river.

Shark gave the throaty laugh,

Enjoying the moment of victory,

Unaware of the eyes watching him,

The eyes of a girl who was on fire.

He had used her like play-toy,

Coercing her to take the oath,

Oath to refrain of trusting again,

To show the stone she had become.

She took the world against her,

Uprooting the roots along,

To subside the raging anger,

for the stab had left mark on her heart.

The trust she did,

Was not reposed,

Turning her into heartless rue,

To save her leftover dignity.

 No one again could

 Stand Infront of her,

Her eyes held fire,

To burn defaulter alive.

Her smile now replaced by

Face that held wisdom,

Making her walk cautiously,

To protect her heart of stone.
