Shortly after meeting in the spring of 1994, nineteen year old Henry and eighteen year old Helena eloped. Each of their parents found it quite inappropriate, given their little to no prior knowledge of each other.
Helena is soon pregnant within a month. Henry is ecstatic.
Tragically, the two rush to a hospital, Helena being eight months pregnant, bleeding profusely. The two are given news that their unborn daughter, Gemma, was miscarried.
Distraught with devastation, Helena and Henry give up on children all together. It isn't until six years later in 2001 when they find out Helena is pregnant once again. Hopeful but scared, Helena and Henry are soon gifted with an almost perfect infant. Though, they don't know this until the boy's second birthday.
