Chapter 1

Earth

¥¥--¥¥

"For your treachery against the will of god, you are hereby banished to Earth as your sentence"

It was those words that made me gasp and look up at my superior with utter horror. I had heard of Earth. Studied it profusely. It is in fact one of the worst planets that heaven has come to know. The wars. The pain. The suffering. So it obviously came as a surprise, when god himself declared that it was a beautiful planet, if only one looks for it.

We looked. And we looked hard. The only beauty we found on the planet was related to everything else, but the human race. They, were brutal. Monsters and demons from the underworld compared nothing to the cruelty of the humans. We tried to love them. We did. But after researching earth through all of its war and pain, it was hard to find peace amongst them.

" that is too much for what little i have done! I do not deserve this." I begged rather my pride. Being abolished to Earth was the last stand for us.

Being an Angel, it is disgraceful for any of us to be thrown on that planet. And banishment, requires for me to struggle on the planet as their own. I was to become a human and die a human.

"Im an angel." I pleaded against the group of superiors chosen by god himself. They were to portray harmony across all of heaven. It was their job, as it was ours to keep the heaven and earth safe from intruders.

" ah...so what you say, is that being an angel gives you the permission to defy gods will? Ur fathers will?" Spat Darius, the leader of the "elite" group. It is against our nature and is in fact frowned upon to hate a fellow member of heaven. But i couldn't help it. The only thing i felt like doing right now, was to punch Darius in the face and take back his words. Realizing my anger, i repeated my lords name in my head and breathed till i had calmed down enough, to be sure i wouldn't do something stupid.

Well, i wouldn't be here if i hadn't done anything stupid, now would i?

"N-no" i stuttered against my will. I knew i was failing. " please Darius. Find it in your heart to give me another chance." I begged. I was ready to be laughed at by the other Angels. I didn't care, as long as i don't have to be sent down to a place which was only a fraction better than hell itself.

" im truly sorry, my angel. But the time has come for you to pay penance for your treason." My breath hitched in my throat and i knew that that was the final verdict. My legs gave in and i fell to the floor with hopelessness. I couldn't seem to see straight. My heart pounded in my chest, threatening to explode.

'This couldn't be happening. Its not possible!' My mind screamed.

I saw darius turn to the rest of the elites and ask , "all in favor, raise your hands."

A few hands elevated to the sky but a few stayed. A pang of hope made itself known as i counted the hands that were raised were proportional to those that were still.

Darius, whose hand was raised, furrowed his eyebrows in concentration as if finding a solution to this problem. I had never heard of such a thing before. A tie between the elites. But then again, they never told us anything.

I looked from Darius to the other council members, hoping to show them how truly sorry i was.

Darius then looked at me, confusion itched all over his face. " leave the hall for precisely two minutes. Then return."

I didn't need to be asked twice. I looked down to the while glowing floor, as a sign of respect, and walked out of the huge oak door towards the waiting hall.
