Welcome to Visionary Recognition 2013! We are currently accepting submissions into December 31st, 2013. Please be sure to take a look at Visionary Recognition 2012 recipients. We encourage those who are planing on submitting to make sure your writing submission are of your highest creative ability. Lastly, be sure to vote, fan and share with your fans about the Visionary Recognition mission to envision, inspire, recognize and encourage all authors of the Wattpad Community.

Recognition Notification:
All recognition notification will start Saturday, August 10, 2013. An in-box message will sent stating if your books will been recognized. After August 10th all authors will be notified on a rolling bases into December 31, 2013.
-Visionary Recognition 2013 Committee Judging Criteria-
Submissions will be read by a small selected and anonymous group of Wattpadder writers and readers, who will be consider part of the Visionary Recognition Committee. They will be judging on how well authors achieve the following qualities: plot, character, or other elements; originality; insight, voice, and style; and overall aesthetic, emotional, or intellectual effect. Stories that excel in those qualities have a chance to become part of the Visionary Recognition of 2013. Any story we feel is underdeveloped and or unoriginal will NOT be considered. All books that are forwarded to the Visionary Recognition Committee do go under an intense review, to help prevent this from happening. This review is called ‘The Cycle Review’; The Cycle Review decision is final. There will also be 2 different scores from Visionary Recognition Committee Judges. There will be the weighted percent score, and a 0-10 score, to prevent any bias subjective review.
The Visionary Recognition Committee will be applying the following criteria when reviewing an author novel:
Originality 40%
Structure 20%
Logicality 10%
Grammar 10%
Character Development 10%
Plot Development 10%
-Visionary Recognition 2013 Honorary Awards Accptance Criteria -
Below 69.99%: Slim chance of acceptance.
70.00%-79.99%: Will taken into consideration to be part of the Visionary Recognition.
80.00-89.99%: Will be part of the Visionary Recognition 2013 AND OR a Silver Honorary Award.
90.00%-95.99%: Will consider for a Silver Honorary Award OR Gold Honorary Award
96.99%-100.00%: Will be consider for a Gold Honorary Award OR Visionary Presidential Honorary Award.
-Visionary Recognition Committee 2013 Judging Criteria-
40% ‐ Originality
Although this is the most difficult thing to measure, it remains the main focus of the Visionary Recognition, and the most important aspect to take into account when reviewed. Ask yourself this question; is this novel created with a unique style and plot, compared to other novels on Wattpad?
20% ‐ Structure
The way in which a novel is organized helps make it more easily understood and appreciated. Long paragraphs with no visual breaks are both hard on the eyes and display a lack of maturity in composition. Do the events in the book flow well or are they choppy? Novel has to have clear and strong beginning and conclusion.
10% ‐ Grammar
Although good grammar is important and it should not go unnoticed, the goal of this Visionary Recognition is too recognize well-polished reads on Wattpad, with very few grammatical errors. We will take into consideration if the grammar error is intentional or not.
The Big Three:
(10% ‐ Logicality / 10% ‐ Character Development / 10% ‐ Plot Development)
The 3 above criteria often lacking in the majority of Wattpad novels, especially romance novels. Be sure that everything is realistic, ask yourself can this really happen in real life, is the plot being moved along too fast? Has the Character had time to develop into an actual person? Are the characteristic and te plot in the novel logical?
