as the old stories are told many long centuries and millennia ago two life forms where brought into creation. no one knows why or how but the came into being that fateful day for a reason. they did not meet for a time, being as they stayed to their sides of their world and not interacting. but when they met it was in good fashion and kind feelings ( as there where no words yet created at the time) yet for one reason or another a spark was set many years after their creations that fueled a hatred lasting to this day. the exact reason is lost to us and those few who do know are unwilling to say. the war was brutal, seeing both beings where not made of flesh like you or i they did not die. it lasted centuries and more until a light and a dark ( which is what we call them now) where reborn and looked at the misguided rage and petty feuds and sought an end to it. they proposed to join there power to create a new world that one of them could move to so they could live in relative peace. the elder ones agreed and created this new world which is now known as Pen'eam. because they had the combined forces of both light and dark the planet had a perfect balance. there where no earthquakes or fires. storms where soft and snow was manageable, it was the definition of perfect. because of this though neither wanted the other to get a hold of it. fight broke out anew and lasted for many years more. because of their emense age they do not perceive time as you or i do, it goes much slower to them so when they finally looked back onto their perfect planet they saw these creatures inhabiting it. they where humanoid mostly but had peculiar adaptations. some had grown wings to soar with, others tails to climb or swim with. the dark where more than willing to kick them out but the light do not kill the innocent so a new treaty was born that the two beings look after the planet and its people and keep order. and that is just the beginning.

there was peace for a time, for a ling time indeed. long enough for the new world to prosper and for many leaders to come in and out of power. the dark where becoming impatient and bored with perfect little world. so as an unspoken rule they wreaked havoc on the planet until the light brought back the order. the light had become fed up and sought a new planet to rule over. the problem was when the planet was created it was purely out of light and since the universe needs balance the scale was imperfect and unsuitable for any form of life. yet life has a way of gabbing hold and not letting go. again a creature came to power on this planet that was not as fast or strong as the other creatures but made up for it in smarts. though the light tried to keep the new planet a secret some of the dark found out and in jealousy would come to the planet to cause disasters and terror. yet life went on. the two planets would interact every so often with the darks help, but never did they know so well about the other until a young prince was thrust into the other world and helped along by faithful friends to safety and peace.
