The last two months since the thwarted girl’s only trip had flown by. And with Ana’s wedding only three months away and Christmas in two weeks, Paloma was starting to feel lonely.

Though she and Lucas had spent almost every night together, and she often stayed over at his penthouse, she felt as though he was starting to pull away from her more and more.

He had stopped asking her to accompany him to business events preferring she spend the time alone in his Penthouse or with Ana. Though they were down to the home stretch of the wedding and all they had left was finalizing the wedding dress.

And that was why she sat with the other three bridesmaids, sipping a Cosmo as Ana modeled a beautiful wedding gown at one of New York’s top dress shops, the tenth dress Ana had tried on. When she could have been fanatically searching her email for news from the bank and whether or not the loan was hers.

“I’m not sure if this is the right dress” Ana frowned at her reflection “It has what I want, but the other dress looked more, I don’t know, more princess”

“Help, we’re going be here for another hour” Cara, Ana’s cousin groaned.

Smiling Paloma walked up to her friend and stood beside her ‘I think Michael would be pleased with whichever dress you choose”

“I know he would, but that cow Clarice is going to be there so I want to make sure her eyes fall out of there sockets” Ana frowned when Paloma laughed.

“I thought you were supposed to help me, not laugh at me?”

“Sorry” Paloma wiped her eyes “But you’re my first bride that wants to wow a guest and not her husband”

“Oh hush” Ana glared mockingly ‘If you want to help, try on that other gown so I see how it looks compared to this one”

Paloma shook her head “Oh no, you have to make this decision based on what your heart says, not on what looks the best”

Ana’s bottom lip wobbled as tears filled her blue eyes “Please Paloma? It would help me out “

Paloma narrowed her eyes at Ana “That won’t work on me, Ms. Titan”

Ana pouted “Fine then I won’t tell you what Lucas got you for your birthday next week”

Lucas had brought her a present? She didn’t think he even remembered it was next week. And Lucas did always give the best presents.

“Fine” Paloma sighed rolling her eyes ‘If the consultant doesn’t mind, I’ll try the other dress on to help you make a decision”

“You’re the best!” Ana hugged her “Now hurry up”

Paloma smiled apologetically at the harried looking dress consultant “Sorry, I won’t take long”
