Introduction

Florida.

Where the sun shines, and the seagulls sing, the Sunshine state.

That's what it says on the sign, at least.

But that's been there since forever, and some people are protesting that they take it down. They say it's false advertising, and my mum and dad are surprised that I agree.

I've only lived here for a few years, but I've been here a while to know that it's definitely not sunny.

I, Lilli Jacobs, can tell you that much... But not a whole lot else.

All you need to know is that Florida, the Sunshine State, is now...

Dull.

Very, very dull.
