It wasn’t until Channing  Aldrick came along and shook up my whole world. He was mysterious, different, a rebel, a guy you wouldn’t want to mess with... Out of every guy I could choose, I chose him. April, 22, 1997 and It was a big day for my school, it was the most exciting time ever in history because my school was created for the gifted, and that is where my story begins.

Tall Poppies High School was something different it was bigger than I imagined it and I couldn't wait to get my school year started. I sauntered off into the distance of the halls and wondered why there wasn’t any talking or other footsteps, maybe I was just early. The gate I stopped at was beautiful, it looked a lot like those big rich fancy black ones that no one could go over because simply it was too high. On the side I saw a panal and noticed it had number so it must have been some sort of code thing, that must have been this paper my gardian gave me. Searching through my bag and trying to take it out, I noticed a guy who walked right next to me at the same time.

“Hey, I’m Dawn. What’s your name?” I asked taking out my hand. When I noticed he took his hand out, I saw cuts on his wrists. He seemed to notice my hesitation and let himself in, while I lingered behind him.  He was cute in the bad boy kind of way, I couldn't help but look lost in his eyes when he looked at me. When I noticed I was staring at him, I smiled and walked, just kept walking like nothing had happened. I could feel my heart beating faster and my palms getting sweaty within the minute. "Wow that was embaressing." Stopping at a window to get my dorm number I noticed that the girl did not look very happy but It was not my place to ask, or was it?

"What's your name?" staring me down I swallowed allowing myself to speak.

"Dawn... Dawn Chamberland" when I noticed her eyes go a little wide, she ran off and an older lady came to escort me to my dorm room. Her hand was all wrinkley and gross, to be honest I didn't like it one bit. It reminded me of raisins, uck!

"May I ask what was up with the weird girl?" I asked coming to a hault at a door.

"Oh, well she is new here, and she is easly scared. It was only her reaction, I wish she could be great like you Dawn, or should I say, "Sparrow" Walking down the stairs I stood there stairing at her, Sparrow what was this crap? Opening the door to my dorm was magnificant, it was absolutley gorgeous, and it felt homey, reckon I've never had a home before.

"Hey I'm Casper Evans, you can just call me casey or whatever you prefer. Make yourself at home!" she was quite nice for a girl.

"Oh I'm Dawn, Dawn Chamberland, you can call me Dawn." laughing a little, she ran up and grabbed my bags taking me up the stairs to the end of the hallway and took a sharp left, it was big, I mean huge! It didn't even seem like a dorm room, no wonder people always talked about this school like some infactuation. While she jumped on the bed and sat down glaring at me I heard the door slam behind me, "Well this is not creepy at all." puffing I opened my bag and there she was at my side glaring at me again.

"Do you have a problem with your eyes or something?" I asked turning around and noticing she wasn't glaring anymore. She looked sad more than mad, I think I hurt her feelings.

"No. I was simply examining you." walking around me in a circle she was really contemplating something, it made me interested, so I just stood still waiting to see what she had to say about me next. "Hmm, your a bit short and are very lovely, you look a lot like your mother. How is she doing anyway?"

"My mother? I haven't seen her since, never." ending the subject I hung all my clothes and made my bed adding some accecories, it was a hipster room, blue with lights, and I loved it. Seeing my roomate out the door I landed on my bed and closed my eyes. After about ten minutes I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door.
