Chance Meeting

You came right in through friendships door

Not early and not late

I turned the corner, there you were

With hand outstretched ..... twas fate.

Although we hadn't arranged to meet

I heard you call my name

I turned around and there you were.

I smiled, you did the same.

A sense of strange reality

Had brought us to that scene

And timing turned our waking lives

Into a Lucid dream.

I stood not knowing what to say

I seemed to know your face.

Our meeting was just meant to be

This day this time this place

I've often walked that street before

And thought of Mr Brett

But I have to say, that to this day

I don't know how we met.

So now our friendship has been formed

So special and sincere

And surely this was meant to be .......?

As destiny brought us here
