After defeating Ji Cheong-shin, the gang of counters find themselves in problems once again, as three evil spirits kill the complete China's gang of counters, and absorb their powers. Korea's gang of counters had never heard of an evil spirit being able to do such thing, and if it couldn't get worse, the next destination of this trio of evil spirits is Korea.
The gang is not prepared to receive them with open arms, if you know what I mean. The gang has been demanding for a new member since quite a while to the people in Yung, and this is just another reason to get one. The people in Yung accept the need of more team members, but also remind them about how hard it is to find a good candidate, and then convince them to work in such a dangerous job.
As if their prayers were listened for once, during one of the gang's missions to find and get rid of an evil spirit, So-Mun crosses along with someone on his way. Without knowing, he had just passed next to their next addition to the team.
Kasuki Mizako. A women just 20 years old, half Korean and half Japanese. The girl had been a counter for the last 7 years. She had refused many times with her Yung spiritual friend to join a team. She said it just wasn't her thing. And in part it was true. The woman had to grow a bit too fast and had just survived on her own.
In a turn of events, So-Mun ends up being in a bad position during the fight with his objective. Slowly loosing air and strength from the hand of the evil spirit choking him, he starts closing his eyes noticing how his teammates are taking too long to arrive and he's not even able to respond to the questions and calls they do through the little earphone in his ear.
Just as he thought he was in the worst position ever, he felt how the harsh grip loosened and eventually fell. He opened his eyes just to let them widen at the sight of someone doing what he needed so calmly. It was Kasuki. She saved him in what was just a few seconds.
Who would have thought they would meet in such a situation?
And who would have thought...
...that that was just the beginning of a whole lot of events and feelings for both of them?
