"Right, so, if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?" Tony asks

"Yes, of course." Thor smirks.

Clint lets himself fall right next to me on the couch.

"No word to anyone about this."

I chuckle; "We'll see..."

Meanwhile Tony has put on part of his suit trying to lift Mjolnir from the Table. He seems incredibly determined when he asks Rhodey to help him out. It's quite a funny sight.

"Are you even pulling?" Tony grunts.

By far the funniest tho is Banner, practically screaming while pulling at the magical hammer.

I lean over to Nat. "Really? That one? Are you kidding me?"

"Stop it. You're so mean! I think it's cute!" she whispers back.

"Ummm, no it's not."

"Go ahead, Steve." Tony says, "No pressure." I add and Stark smirks at me.

For a second I really thought he'd lift it, but I soon come to realize that that was just an illusion and that, in fact, even Steve can't lift it.

He sighs and goes back to his seat. Thor laughs out relieved. I'm pretty sure, he also thought Cap might be able to lift it.

"Sooo, what about you two Romanoffs?

"Oh no, no, no." my sister says.

"That's not a question I need answered," I say and lean back on the couch again.

"It's 100% rigged!" Tony says

"Bet your ass!" Clint adds and I laugh.

"Steve, he said a bad language word!" I exclaim and earn laughter from the whole team while Steve just lets out an annoyed sigh.

"I grow to like her more each day." Tony chuckles and gets up to get another beer.

A high-pitched noise interrupts the moment. We all follow to noise, just to be faced by a... well... what even is that? It looks like a sleek, metallic humanoid robot with glowing red eyes, exuding an aura of formidable technological prowess. Oh, and it talks.

"How could you be worthy of lifting such a powerful weapon? Any of you!" a raspy voice from within the machine fills the room. "You are all killers."

I look over at Nat. Is that some of Stark's stupid jokes? But my sister looks concerned, just like the rest of us. Something is terribly wrong.

"Tony?" I ask but I don't get an answer.

"I'm sorry, I was asleep." the robot continues.

Tony doesn't even look up as he nervously taps on his tablet.

"I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy." Oh fuck. I exchange looks with Clint and Nat. We're all getting ready to fight.

"You killed someone?" Steve asks.

"In the real world, we're faced with ugly choices."

"Who sent you?" I ask and the next moment we can hear a recording. Of Tony's voice. While I listen to what he says I turn around to look at him. He looks absolutely terrified.

"Ultron..." Banner exclaims. He's in there too?

"I am on a mission." the raspy voice sounds through the room. "Peace in our Time"

Every fiber of my being screams for me to run, to flee from the in flying robots, but I push aside my fear and most importantly, confusion. What is going on?

As the battle rages on, I find myself swept up in the fight, my movements fueled by a potent mix of adrenaline and instinct. I throw myself into the chaos, my senses sharp as I dodge blasts and deliver my own strikes.

Amid the chaos, I lock eyes with Ultron, a chill running down my spine at the intensity of its gaze. Before I even know what I am doing, my hands shield my face from an incoming blast. Instead of hitting me, it just dissolves into a fine purple mist. I look at my hands, aching of the power, and just do what feels right. With every blast I catch, I take the energy of it and form one myself, just to throw it back.

"You could do that the whole damn time?" I hear Tony scream from across the room as I absolutely destroy one of the robots. Damn, this is so cool.

No one has watched the third robot or has spent a thought on what they're planning. We can just stand there, dumbfounded, as the machine flies out the broken window. With it the scepter.

"There is only one path to peace," Ultron says, knowing that he's defeated. "The Avengers' extinction."

I can't even react to what the robot just said, because Thor just throws Mjolnir to absolutely destroy Ultron into metal scraps.

I am about to let out a relieved sigh when the voice sounds once again: "I had strings, but now I'm free."

We're in some deep shit.

"Lemme get this straight. You two decided to experiment with the scepter without telling anyone. That little experiment is now alive and evil, like really evil, and just deleted everything the avengers have ever worked on from the Internet. He has full access."

"Nuclear Codes," Hill says. I can see her extremely worried expression.

"Nukes? I thought he wanted us dead." Nat says.

"Not dead. Extinct." Steve sighs.

"Wait, wait, wait. Didn't he say he killed someone?"

"But there was no one else in the building..." Maria says and frowns.

"Yes, there was." Tony says and tabs his tablet. What comes into sight is absolutely terrifying.

"This is insane," I whisper.

Thor walks over to Tony, his Steps heavy on the floor. He picks up Tony by his Throat.

"Whoa, whoa, dude. Let him down." Clint steps in.

"The scepter is heading north. Now we have to retrieve it. Again."

"I'm sorry. I just... this is so funny. Remember when we were fighting Aliens, that attacked New York through a wormhole? How I carried a nuke through said wormhole. We're the Avengers, but that up there. That's the endgame. How are you guys planning on beating that?"

"Together," Steve says.

"We're gonna loose," Tony exclaims.

"Then we're gonna lose together." I say and Clint gives me a little smile.
