"Where are we going, mother?" asked the little Sandwing as she and her mother walked into the queen's room of the Sandwing palace. "Today the other queens have decided to have a little meeting with our heirs (daughters, princesses), so I am bringing you to meet with the others," the queens explained. "So will Sunny be here?" asked Sandstorm. "Yes," she said, "of course." Then Queen Thorn started to dig inside of a giant box and pulled out golden necklaces and diamond rings. She took out a necklace with a silver chain and a diamond in the shape of a star and put it on the small Sandwing. "You need to look impressive in front of the other queens," she said. She adjusted her moonstone necklace and said, "Let's go, we don't want to be late." Queen Thorn and princess Sandstorm walked into the inner courtyard and sat down to wait for Sandstorm's half sister, Sunny. Many dragons of different colors were filling into the courtyard. Sandstorm recognised Eclipse and Firefly daughters of Queen Glory of the RainWings and NightWings, Phoenix daughter of Queen Ruby and of course Auklet. She knew the rest of Auklets sisters Tsunami and Anemone but they were both coming from Jade Mountain Academy. She felt very small next to the large queens and wondered if she would ever be brave enough to take the throne from her mother. Finally Sunny, Tsunami and Anemone arrived. Anemone went to stand next to her mother while Sunny and Tsunami joined Queen Glory. Sunny gave Sandstorm a little smile and then turned her attention back on the other queens. Queen Thorn gave a little cough and then spoke, " As now everyone is here we can start! So today we have brought all our daughters to have a meeting while the Queens go on with their normal meeting, OK?" "Sure?"replied everyone. As the queens went into a separate room the princesses started to chatter. Sandstorm ran to Eclipse
