June 3, the day school gets out every single year, the first day of summer, her mom and dad spilt up when she was 8 her dad Mason Lopez is really rich he owns a surf shop down town called Tux n Turf surf shop next to the Wreck which the Cerreras own, Kiara's parents. Her mom Maze, short for Mazikeen Brighley, is a detective, she makes lots of money. Aurora is an only child, But does have 2 dogs Marly and Roxy.
Her parents are rich like a kook but street smart like a pogue, They give their daughter, a lot of responsibility and respect they don't care what she does she does well in school, She does so well in fact she already graduated. So she just kinda does whatever most people call her The Queen of the island but she hates it,
