Mikey's eyes widen in disbelief, the elder Sano hurried off to call the nurses, and Emma cried even more but in happiness this time.

"...wh-"
Shinichiro tried to speak but Mikey quickly shushed him

"Shut up, save your strength!"
The short blonde exclaimed while his tears slowly dripped down. I watch the scene unfold, letting go of the breath that I didn't knew I was holding. A wave of relief wash over me, as I saw Emma and Mikey cry beside their brother

Moments later, three nurses and a doctor hurriedly went inside and checked Shinichiro's state, to say that they were surprised was an understatement.

Shinichiro's life was no longer at steak...he just needs a bit more rest for a week and he'll be good to go. Phew, at least I've got eight lives left hehe

The doctor then checked Shinichiro's scar on the back of his head and was stunned to see the wound was fully healed. After running a few tests, they all walked off after giving Shinichiro his prescribed medication.

While I was busy being petted by Shinichiro, I didn't even sense Mikey staring intensely at me

'I vow to protect this cat.'
The short blonde kept on staring at the cat that was being petted by his older brother

I went home all happy after a few hours. Shinichiro gave me a hug, grandpa Sano petted me, Emma gave me kisses, and Mikey...well-he was being a shy patootie, trying his best to thank me without stuttering

"Where have you been!?"
Chifuyu immediately exclaimed when I came into view. None of meow pussyness, bitch.

I turn my head away from him and walked to the kitchen like a supper model. Unlike Chifuyu, Mrs. Matsuno greeted me happily and gave me some food

I heard Chifuyu sigh in annoyance, he walked towards me and crouched.

"You're sleeping outside tonight."
He whispered. Excuse me!? Me? Sleep outside!? Oh hell nah! Before he even had time to react, I pounced on him, and we broke into a human-cat fight until Mrs. Chifuyu came to stop us both

Chifuyu got an earful of Mrs. Chifuyu's scolding while I was happily munching on my cat food. Serves you right, biatch.

Time goes by quickly...and before I knew it, a year has already passed.

Kazutora was taken to juvenile prison for attempted murder, he'll be out after two years

And ever since that incident, I didn't visit Baji until today, nor did I even dare to step on their apartment's doormat. I didn't know this would confuse him so much, and I didn't even know he would still wait for me everyday with cat treats in hopes that I'll drop by again someday...

I still hold a grudge on the both of them after what they did to Shin. But, I'm slowly learning to forgive Baji...but not Kazutora. I'm stuck between the lines of forgiveness and grudge, a part of me wants to forgive Kazutora, but, another part of me wants him to receive karma.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Baji in his motorcycle, with Chifuyu behind him. Surprisingly, Chifuyu didn't stop by at the apartment. Instead, he followed Baji to the 5th floor. Hm, are they perhaps buddies now? I wonder...

Should I follow them? Hm, nah.

I should've followed them that day. I could've prevented Chifuyu from joining Toman! What if he finds out that I'm also a founding member!? Ugh, I hate to go back to that Shrine again...I can't face Mikey and the others now after I disappeared on them for a year! This is such a painnnnnn

I kept rolling around the apartment floor while meowing here and there, Mrs. Matsuno just shook her head, unamused by my behavior

My small tantrum took a solid 20 minutes out of my lifespan. I breathed heavily while laying on my stomach

'Chifuyu. Your decisions are the worstttt!' anddd I broke into another 20 minutes tantrum while the radio played the music stay with me in the background

...

I waited intently for Chifuyu to get back. I'll give him a piece of my mind. But, then again...he didn't know. Agh-! This is so- so...SO INFURIATING!!!

Amidst my contemplation, I heard the very familiar engine of someone's motorcycle, a sign that Chifuyu was finally home.

I sat in front of the apartment door, awaiting my dear owner's arrival

The moment he opened the door, he was greeted by my claws. I pounced on him like a raging lion, attaching my claws tightly to his new Toman uniform

"You floofing idiot! I told you to back out but here you are attending another Toman meeting!" I cursed, although all he hears are meows and hisses

He looked at me with a bored expression before letting out an exasperated sigh, detaching me from him by grabbing my scruff and carrying me off to his room while I throw my paws around

"I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET, CHIFUYU!"
again, all he hears are meows and hisses

"I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE! I WANNA GO HOME!!!" I cried out loud, in exchange, Chifuyu heard it as a cat squeal.
