There's this girl
who lives inside of me
She claws at my mind
Trying to be free
Her face is hollow
her hands bony and cold
She epitomizes beauty
in all whom she beholds
She'll whisper promises on your ear
Lure you close and once you're near
She will consume you
I met Ana in the summer
when I saw long tan legs and plateau stomachs
expanses of flat gold skin as far as the eye could see
I look at myself and say
"Why not me? Can't I look like them, how hard can it be?"
Well, as it turns out, starving is harder than it seems.
I met a girl named Ana
She tore me apart
destroyed my confidence
slaughtered my self esfeem
annihilated any love I had for me
I met a girl named Ana
And she is slowly destroying me
