<pre style="font-size: 9pt;"><tt><tt>As winter's coldness passes by

There are those who pass by

Lonely they sit unable to roam

Free of chains they wish to be

But it is their mind that inhibits their freedom

They cannot leave

Their will is tied to their own dehabilitation

The chains are of their own making

These people are dying and aren't able to move

Only because of their own petty insecurity

The moments they have missed

Due to their own selfishness and dishonesty

How can they live with their own inconsistency?

They have chosen to do so

So all that we can do as those who love them most We must love them through it

all

Despite their discrepancies and their blights

We must rise above the norm

Love them, because no one else will

Nor do they know how to.

If love is patient and love is kind

How can it be so cruel?

It picks its victims wisely and does not let them go

It is an eternal suffering,

Wishing and hoping that love would pass us by

We are not well equipped to enter

Into dealings with love

Yet how can we expect to win

When we approach it in naivete?

We love as is natural

But we are lost in an endless maze

Of hurt and wishful thinking.

We believe to see the best in people

Never thinking they might take advantage

Of our infancy.

Without knowing what hit us

We will walk away,

Our tails between our legs

Moping

Trying to escape the hurt and disappointment

And failing.

No matter how good of a person the other is

If given the opportunity,

He will take advantage if given the option.

Don't give the opportunity

Guard your heart

Your mind

And your soul.

Build your walls and don't let them falter.

A friend is also a potential enemy

He may be your brother

Your sister

Your closest friend,

But he may still take a shot

If it allows him to get ahead.

Love others and be kind

But do not be so dull as to let them in to your mind.

Believe the best of people,

But expect the worst,

Only then will your heart be safe.

Choose your friends wisely,

For, given time, they will show others

Who you really are.

And when it comes to matters of the heart,

Let your heart decide,

But do not be so dense as to not use your head.

Listen to your heart,

But do not let it lead you astray.

You may be only human,

But your heart is still full of wickedness.

Let the Lord

Wipe you clean

And make a mosaic out if the broken glass.

He is your strength

Your rock

Your redeemer,

And where human devices fail

He will not disappoint.

Trust in Him

For He will not waiver,

Nor will He falter when

Trouble calls you out for battle.

Give your hardships

Your grievances

Your sadness

Your pain

To Him, the Holy Almighty.

He will not lead you astray.

Your heart will rejoice in His presence,

Delight in His holiness.

Love as He does.

And when hatred and sadness walks your way

He is the light at the end of your endless

Black tunnel.

His beauty will outshine

And force your enemies,

Material,

Emotional,

Physical,

And spiritual to flee.

He is your rest and your solace

When your motivation burns out.

He will help you run and leap

When you feel you can barely walk.

He will strengthen your legs and your tongue

When you don't know what to do next.

He is the feather in the wind

That gracefully floats by on spring's breeze.

He is the one who makes the earth spin,

Who brings in each season,

Who catches each tear that falls from your eye.

He is the one whose arms engulf you

When trouble chases you from

The straight and narrow.

He is the one who brings our loved ones home

Who embraces them in loving arms

And comforts them as they leave

All the people who they loved:

Their children,

Wives,

Husbands,

Sisters,

Brothers,

Close friends,

And lovers behind.
