belly was lying on her back on the grass at her and matts spot, well maybe only her spot again. being there made her remember many things and it hurt

"belly?" she heard someone say, so of course, she turns around

"oh, hey matt" she sits up

"ill leave if you want" he sniffles

"no its f- were you crying?" she stands up

"no" he looks down "a little"

"talk to me" she says quietly, standing in front of him "matt?"

"charlotte dumped me. ive gotten dumped two times" he looks up at her with reddish eyes

"im so sorry" she frowns, debating whether to hug him or not "can i?"

he nods and hugs her first, both of them staying like that for a while.

"are you okay?" she asks

"yeah. i didnt really like her, i knew she was gonna leave. but it reminded me of uhm, well you know" he says

"i know" she says

seeing him hurt felt like someone throwing a bowling ball at her, because she knows that she is a contributing factor to him looking like this

"ill be fine" he sniffles again

"im here, always" she says
