Chapter Fifteen: LOST AND FOUND

EXT. COASTAL MALL AREA - NIGHT

Angel is on his motor bike when his mobile phone rang. He pulled over the parking lot and answered it.

ANGEL:

Tata Ino?

INT. TATA INO'S SHOP - NIGHT

TATA INO:

(Over the Phone) Angel, nasaan ka Iho?

EXT. COASTAL MALL AREA - NIGHT

ANGEL:

(On his Cellular) Nasa Baclaran po tata Ino. Papunta po ako sa bahay ni Mang Augusto. Bakit po? Meron po bang problema?

INT. TATA INO'S SHOP - NIGHT

TATA INO:

Tamang-tama Iho. Kailangan mong pumunta muna sa Our Lady of Peace Memorial Hospital, malapit lang ito sa toll gate ng coastal road.

ANGEL:

(O.S.) Bakit po?

TATA INO:

Naroon ang libro ni Tandang Penoh. Kailangan mong pumunta doon ngayon din. Parating din doon ang anak ni Pilar. Ang pangalan niya ay Kristen, siya ang nakakaalam kung saan nakatago ang libro. Kailangan ninyong makuha ang libro.

EXT. COASTAL MALL AREA - NIGHT

ANGEL:

Sige, po. Pupunta po ako ngayon din. Paano ko po siya makikilala?

INT. TATA INO'S SHOP - NIGHT

TATA INO:

Kilala ka niya. Siya ang hahanap sa iyo. Angel... (pause)

ANGEL:

(O.S.) Ano po iyon Tata Ino?

TATA INO:

Mag-iingat kayo. Nakamasid ang mga alagad ni Basak. Alam nila ang bawat kilos natin.

EXT. COASTAL MALL AREA - NIGHT

ANGEL:

Opo. (Hangs up)

Gets on his bike and ride-off to coastal road. Meanwhile, CLOSE on an area near the place where Angel parked a stranged man wearing a bike helmet watched as Angel's bike speeds away. CUT.

EXT. SOMEWHERE IN CAVITE - NIGHT

Larry's car is parked on the side of the hi-way. The hazard lights are on.

LARRY:

Pare, ligaw yata tayo. Sabi nung ale, sa ikatlong kanto. Eto na iyon, pero dead end naman at walang nakakakilala sa albularyong hinahanap natin.

PATRICK:

Hindi ko nga maintindihan, sigurado ka bang wala kang nalagpasan na likuan?

LARRY:

Wala. Ewan ko, madilim kasi, hindi ko sigurado. Dinaldal mo kasi ako kanina eh.

PATRICK:

Balik tayo baka lumagpas tayo.

Two men were walking towards their car, talking to each other.

LARRY

Hindi, pare, bago tayo bumalik, tanong muna natin dun sa dalawa. (points at the two men approaching, VIEW from inside the car) Huling tanong na lang baka alam nila.

PATRICK:

OK. Sige.

Patrick opens the car window.

PATRICK:

Boss, alam niyo ba kung saan itong address na ito. (Showing a piece of paper to the two men)

The man on the right seeing the open window started to pull out a gun and points it at Patrick, the other man circled around to the driver's seat where Larry was seated and pulled out a gun.

HOLDAPER 1:

Labas! Hold-up ito! Huwag kayong magkakamaling lumaban at bubutasin ko ang ulo ninyo. Labas!

LARRY:

(Pissed-Off) Oh great! (Turning to Patrick) Ligaw na nga tayo, mananakawan pa. Kasalanan mo 'tong lahat Blue.

PATRICK:

Ano? Ikaw ang nag-dadrive ha?

LARRY:

Kung hindi mo ako niyakad dito para hanapin yang albularyo na iyan hindi sana mangyayari sa atin ito!

PATRICK:

Pumayag ka naman ah? Isa pa, ikaw ang nagsabing magtanong tayo?

The two holdapper watches in confusion as the two men argues in the car.

LARRY:

Una sa lahat, kuripot ka! Hindi man lang tayo nag extra rice sa Gary's kanina. Pangalawa, (winks at Patrick) may balat ka sa pwet. Kasi puro walang kwenta ang mga case na napupunta sa iyo tapos palagi ka pang malas. Dinadamay mo pa ako sa mga kamalasan mo! Pangatlo, (the two opening the door partially and preparing to go out) mahina ka sumipa!

PATRICK:

Mahina? Mahina pala ha!

The two kicks off the car door knocking the two holdapper and their guns down. Holdapper 2 was knocked to one lane of the highway where one car is fast approaching. Luckily, the car engages the break and skidding almost a feet only from the screaming holdapper. The holdaper screamed like a girl. Patrick jumps on to holdapper 1 and puts him on handcuffs. Larry picks up the still screaming holdapper 2. The two holdapper are then placed in front of the car and handcuffed. As the driver of the skidding car comes out of the car and looks on.

LARRY:

(showing the driver his badge) Police kami. (to the holdappers) Ang bobobo niyo. Manghohold-up kayo, police pa. Mas malas pa pala kayo kaysa sa kasama ko.

PATRICK:

Ngayon. (shows the piece of paper to the holdappers) Saan ko matatagpuan ang lugar na ito?
