They Can't Get to Me

Every day's the same cycle;
wake up, survive, and sleep,

I get picked on at school,
they laugh, they scream, I weep,

I can't help but see differently,
Its just the way I'm made to be,
there punches make me cry, there words make me sigh, but though they try they can't get to me,

I've got a popular boy's name for a girl,
so I'm my ashamed, embarrassed, and sad,

So for the name I must take, the pain I will shake, I blame it all on my dad,

Strange is what you'd foresee,
I'm the berry on a once simple pine tree,
as future enemies pass me by, in a blink of an eye, I know they'll try but they can't get to me,
