Denise's POV

"Good work today, everyone! Don't forget to email me your work, okay?" I smiled as I dismissed my students, watching them gather their things and head out of the classroom. It had been a long day, and I was looking forward to lunch with Madison.

Sitting down at my desk, I scrolled through my messages, eager to unwind before heading out. The sudden knock at the door pulled me out of my reverie. Looking up, I saw Kevin Kingsley, the football coach, standing there with a slightly nervous expression.

"Hey, Denise," Kevin greeted, his voice tinged with hesitation.

"Oh, hi Kevin. I'm good, how are you?" I replied, curious about why he was here.

"I'm great, actually. I wanted to ask you for a favor," he said, shifting nervously from one foot to the other.

"Sure, what is it?" I asked, turning fully to face him.

Kevin took a deep breath. "The football team is preparing for a big tournament next week, and I'm swamped with organizing everything. I could really use some help managing the logistics, especially when it comes to coordinating schedules and paperwork."

I nodded, understanding his request. "So, you want me to assist with organizing and coordinating for the football tournament?"

"Exactly. If you could spare some time to lend a hand, it would be a huge help," Kevin explained earnestly.

"I'll do it," I agreed with a smile, feeling glad to contribute to the team's efforts.

"Great! Thank you so much, Denise. I really appreciate it," Kevin said, visibly relieved.

Oh, that sounds nice," Madison remarked, offering Kevin a friendly smile.

"Yeah, I'm not going to take up any more of your time. Thanks, Denise. See you around, Madison," Kevin said with a smile, heading out of the room.

"Bye, Mr. Kingsley," Madison called after him, her voice carrying a hint of amusement. As soon as Kevin was out of earshot, Madison turned to me with a mischievous glint in her eye.

"Oh, Denise, you lucky girl! Spending all that time with the sexy football coach. Maybe it'll help you forget about Mr. 'Too Busy to Sign the Divorce Papers.'"

I couldn't help but laugh at Madison's teasing. "Madison, come on. Kevin's just asking for some help."

Madison raised an eyebrow playfully. "Uh-huh, sure. I saw the way he was looking at you. You're telling me you didn't notice those flirtatious smiles?"

I shook my head, dismissing her observation. "No way. Kevin's just being friendly and professional."

Madison smirked knowingly. "Denise, honey, trust me. That man is into you."

"He's not," I insisted, though a tiny part of me wondered if Madison might be right.

"Well, you can keep living in denial, but I'm telling you, there's something there," Madison teased

"Seriously though, Den, keep an eye on him. He's definitely got a thing for you."

I rolled my eyes, trying to brush off Madison's playful insinuations. "Madison, you read too much into things. Kevin's just being nice."
