I get a cut, they feel my pain
"Ow!" Mumbo exclaimed as he cut his finger on his sword.
Immediately, I came running, not knowing how he was hurt, only that he was.
They got my heart, they got my soul
They know the stuff nobody knows
"I'm fine." Mumbo reassures me. "Remember, this isn't high school." He says, hugging me.
When we're out for dinner we're cursing like sailors
The people are staring and talking in whispers
"Hey what's with the strange breed?"
The 25 of us go out to dinner to celebrate our tenth anniversary. We're laughing and joking and cursing like sailors. Even Xanthus and Hels showed up. I can hear the other people at the restaurant whispering, and feel their stare, but I don't care. "What's that strange thing?" I hear one ask, wondering about our many strange hybrids.
They is my family, they is my family
They might be crazy, but they is my family
"They is my family." Xisuma sings, standing on the table top. "They is my family." I sing next. "They might be crazy, but they is my family." We sing together.
You can't get to them unless you get through me
You fuck with them you fuck with me
"You can't get to them unless you get through me."
"You fuck with them, you fuck with me." We sing, now joined by everyone else in our strange, big, dysfunctional, psychotic family.
And if you're standing on the ledge
I'll pull you down, put you to bed
"Don't do it!" Xisuma yells, pulling me back from the ledge, saying "I'll pull you down, put you to bed. Talk when you're ready." He says with a bittersweet smile.
And if you're bleeding from the heart
I'll come around, and clean it up
"Nooooooooooooo!" Scar screams as the last breath drains from Jellie's chest. I hug him, cleaning the blood from his heart in the form of the tears in his face.
When we're at the party we're dancing on tables
The people are staring like they got a peephole
"Hey look at the strange breed"
We're at the anniversary party, dancing on tables. Everyone's staring as if there's a hole in our pants. And then I hear it. Them.
"What nice little friends you've got." The evil being smiles a smile that means nothing but trouble. "I guess I'll just have to... dispose of them." It said.

"They is my family, they is my family! They might be crazy, but they is my family!" I sing, defying the Watchers with every cell in my body.

"You can't get to them unless you get through me!" I challenge it. The being simply smiles and sends a blast of concentrated magic towards the hermits. It hits Mumbo, not enough to kill, but cause pain. I yell at the top of my lungs "YOU FUCK WITH THEM YOU FUCK WITH ME!"
A motley crew, a rodeo
A goddamn zoo, a circus show
"A MOTLEY CREW, A RODEO!"I'm now joined by Xisuma and Mumbo still on the floor, holding his arm, where the magic hit. "A GODDAM ZOO, A CIRCUS SHOW!" All 20 something of us shout.
