After the defeat of the monster known as Zilla, a teenage Nick Tatopoulos discovers a hidden lab with a male teen in a vat. After breaking him out, Nick discovers that the teen is a Zilla hybrid!
Afterwards, the hybrid teen joins the team of HEAT...

Within the city that never sleeps, also known as New York City, a taxi is seen driving down the street at high speeds, and is heading across a suspension bridge as the rain poured along with thunder and lightning.
Above the sound of thunder, a roar from what sounded like a large animal can be heard, and the scene cuts to the taxi driving on a suspension bridge.
Within the taxi are three teens, and an adult male.
Who are they?

Niko "Nick" Tatoupolus. A teen science major who's work caught the attention of the United States military, and sought his help in figuring out a rather monstrous problem. Which of course, that problem has made landfall in the city a couple days ago.

Audrey Timmonds. An old flame of Nick, and an aspiring reporter. However, due to her ambition, and willingness to report her own story, she nearly botched the operation Nick was working in to stop that certain problem from making an even larger problem. However, she was able to redeem herself by reporting live on the scene of what the larger problem is, and the military sent an air strike to prevent it from happening.
