Jessie

"You ready?" I asked Mark while walking into his office carrying our coffees. He looked up from his notes and smiled. "As ready as I can be. I pitched to Sheila last night and she bought it. How difficult could the Parkers be?"

I smiled at his nervous joke while taking a seat opposite his desk. "Any last minute requests?"

"Not that I can think of. Maybe just check that everything is set up in the conference room? You know how absent minded some of these junior are."

"No problem," I answered. I smoothed my pencil skirt as I leaft his office and quickly walked down the corridor. Today I had decided on wearing my favourite pair of black wedge shoes that I always wore when I needed some good luck - and today I hoped they worked their magic.

"JJ... hey Jessie!" Sharon called after me from her office. "Go kick butt, girl!"

"We will," I said with a wink to her.

At quarter to 10 I was sitting in my office, daydreaming about Dream-guy and wondering why I hadn't seen him in traffic this morning, when my desk phone rang. "The Parkers are here," Annie's voice came over the line.

"I'll be there in 2 secs! Offer them something to drink and show them to the conference room, please," I said before grabbing my notebook and pen and rushing to Mark's office. "The client's here, Mark."

He jumped up from his chair and put on his jacket, straightening his tie. "It's now or never, Jessie!"

He walked out in front of me to the conference room and jovially greeted the clients, while introducing me to them. The group consisted of Greg Parker Snr, his Head of development Sean Taylor and his Financial manager Tracey Evans. While Sean looked to be in his early 40's, Tracey was closer to Mr Parker's age. I learned that she used to be his secretary before she studied finances and then continued to be his right hand, just in a higher capacity.

"My sons are on their way." Mr Parker smiled at me after reading a text on his phone. "I sent them on an errand, but I think they got lost finding their way here."

"With those two you never know," Tracey commented. "I love them like my own, Greg, but they are a handful." I could see that these two had an easy relationship between them, comfortable like old friends.

Old man Parker got a naughty glint in his eye. "And that's why I have you to keep them in line, Tracey!" We laughed while they took their seats at the boardroom table and I started packing out everyone's information packs. "So far so good", I thought nervously. I looked at Mark who seemed relaxed and at ease, chatting to Mr Parker. Suddenly there was a knock on the boardroom door and it opened to a blushing and stammering Annie. "They are... in here... Mr.'s Parker"

I looked up, wondering why the normally calm Annie was acting so flustered, when two of the most beautiful men I had ever seen walked through the boardroom door, looking like they just stepped out of a men's fashion catalogue. The shorter one of the two was blonde, with mischievous blue eyes and a dimple in his cheek when he flashed his smile at the occupants of the room. But it was the dark haired one coming in behind him that took my breath away. He walked in behind his brother and scanned the room, pausing when he met my eyes and I felt the shock of recognition go through me. A small frown appeared on his brow as if he was thinking hard. Then the same recognition showed in his eyes and he smiled as I blushed bright red. "Well, well, well. If it isn't Beatle girl," I heard his beautiful voice say softly to me as he moved toward an open seat.

I looked down at my lucky shoes while willing the blush on my cheeks to go away, without much success. Oh my word! My dreamguy-in-my-dreamcar was a famed Parker!
